Subsea Expo 2025 – And that’s a wrap A huge thank you to all the exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, attendees, schoolchildren and all our partners who have been part of Subsea Expo, organised by Global Underwater Hub, at P&J Live in Aberdeen over the last three days and made the event a success. It has been a vibrant and busy few days that has once again showcased the innovation, technology and collaboration that is present in the subsea sector and wider underwater industry. What was front and centre was a real sense of community and a desire to embrace the energy transition. #SubseaExpo #GlobalUnderwaterHub 

📸 It is six weeks since Subsea Expo 2025 drew to a close at P&J Live in Aberdeen. Welcoming delegates from around the world, the exhibition and conference once again provided a showcase for innovation across the underwater industry and saw discussion on key talking points. Whilst companies and individuals leading the way in the subsea sector and wider underwater industry were celebrated at the Subsea Expo Awards, which saw accolades in eight categories handed out. Actor, writer and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth kept guests entertained on the night with a series of amusing stories and anecdotes. 📄 New industry whitepaper During this year’s Subsea Expo, DEEP Manufacturing based in Bristol held an industry roundtable to discuss advances in technology driving speed, scale and quality to improve commercial resilience and support growth in the subsea supply chain. On the final day of Subsea Expo, we host our ForeSEA Your Future initiative which welcomed around 200 pupils to learn about the underwater industry, the technology that helps drive it and the wide range of future career opportunities. The day also illustrates how the skills they are learning from the STEM subjects that they are studying can be applied to the workplace. During their visit, the pupils took part in a treasure hunt in the exhibition arena, offering an opportunity to speak to some of the companies and learn more about this diverse industry. Our thanks to Unique Group for sponsoring the treasure hunt, which was won by pupils at Portlethen Academy. They are pictured with Karen Summers from Global Underwater Hub receiving their prize. 📽️ Subsea Expo Awards: Abi Thompson At the 2025 Subsea Expo Awards the Rising Star Award was presented to Abi Thompson, a sales manager with SMD. Abi has been with the firm for 14 years and became its first female project manager, before moving into her current role. The subsea sector and wider underwater industry continue to push technological boundaries, which is celebrated in the Cross Sector Innovation Award at the Subsea Expo Awards, organised by Global Underwater Hub.
