We were introduced to the amazing Rebecca Douglas about six years ago at the start of our journey. Rebecca immediately understood our vision and mission and has been with us ever since, capturing our look and feel through her incredible photography. Last week we got a few friends together at The Good Hotel and let Rebecca work her magic once again. The results speak for themselves 📸 Thank you Rebecca Douglas Photography https://lnkd.in/eaBbPZmq The Good Hotel, Sean, Dorothea, Olajide, Ian, Alannah, Stella, Melissa, Desi, Maurizio 🙏🏼

On Monday, Craig had the privilege of speaking at Be Inclusive Hospitality's inaugural Changemaker event. Sponsored by Bibendum Wine and hosted at BloomsYard, Regent's Place, the evening was packed with powerful conversations, shared stories and lightbulb moments. Craig joined Fernanda Pereira Dias Antonio, People & Culture Director at Caravan Restaurants | B Corp™ and Gina Knight, Head of People at Flat Iron to consider the relevance and nature of workplace culture by sharing lived experiences and how these shape their approach to inclusion today. One thing was clear: an inclusive workplace culture is non-negotiable for any successful business. It’s not an option, or an add-on. It’s the glue that holds teams together and helps them thrive. Read in full: https://rb.gy/rgi7o2 Huge thanks to Lorraine Copes, Vidya Narasimhan and the team at Be Inclusive Hospitality for the invitation, we are already looking forward to the next event! Powered by mum in partnership with Caterer.com and Imperial London Hotels Walk for Wellbeing is back for a sixth year and is even bigger than before. Walk for Wellbeing is a meaningful industry initiative that promotes the importance of wellbeing in hospitality and generates vital funds for Hospitality Action. For workplace teams, the event also provides a chance to develop teamwork skills, build stronger workplace relationships and promote an inclusive, collaborative culture as part of a wellbeing and CSR strategy. Now recognised as a flagship activity for the charity, Walk for Wellbeing has taken huge strides in elevating the importance of wellbeing in hospitality. After five incredible years, Craig Prentice, Founder and Director of mum and Creator of Walk for Wellbeing, has gifted the event to Hospitality Action. He will remain closely involved as a strategic advisor, steer and ambassador and mum will continue as lead partner for the event and host of the London walk. Craig said: “From humble beginnings in lockdown, with groups of ten walking in a handful of locations, to a nationwide movement which has captured the hearts of many, I am incredibly proud of what has been achieved together over the past five years and now is the perfect time for me to gift the initiative to the charity - really looking forward to championing and supporting its continued growth, reach and positive impact across the country." Mark Lewis, CEO of Hospitality Action said: “Under Craig’s leadership, Walk for Wellbeing has grown to become one of the most important and impactful events in the hospitality calendar, and we are honoured to take forward the legacy he has created. The event perfectly marries our need to raise vital funds to support our work with our mission to improve the wellbeing of everybody in the sector. With the growing number of cities joining us this year, we are excited to see the event expand even further and continue what Craig started, ensuring more hospitality professionals across the UK have the opportunity to take part and make a real difference in their communities.” 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 https://rb.gy/hc92yq 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

It’s happening a lot - over the past few months we have been contacted by talented hospitality professionals who have been left stranded by employers owing to non payment of wages. The impact? Stress, anxiety, career setbacks, and life-changing financial hardship. Published in The Caterer earlier this week, Craig explores the devastating effects of unpaid wages, why we must hold employers accountable and perhaps most importantly what can be done if you or someone you know finds themselves in this situation. A clear career path in hospitality was ahead of him, and there was no plan to change direction. When someone suggested he move from hospitality to recruitment, he laughed it off. It went on to be the best career move he ever made.
