The Ford Capri. It was a race car, a spy car, a getaway car. It had epic ads featuring oddly sexy tigers and stylish skiers and we brought it all back to life. Michael Hines, Group Strategy Director at Wieden+Kennedy London, talks about how we did just that, plus how to best harness nostalgia in advertising over at The Drum. Wieden+Kennedy London and Biscuit Filmworks present SOS•••---•••But Don't Worry If Not. A brilliant short comedy written and directed by our very own Florence Poppy Deary. I've been lucky enough to come across precious scripts that weren't created for brands throughout my career. And I've been even more lucky to be able to play the Executive Producer role a few times. First on a short documentary The Good Fight which ended up winning the best film short award at The Tribeca Film Festival. Then on a short scripted drama called Careful How You Go that was selected for The Sundance Film Festival, written and directed by Emerald Fennell, starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge. I'm really happy to have added another gem to that collection. Hope you enjoy it. With Ana Balarin Ryan Fisher Dan Hill Bronwen Hemming Rupert Reynolds-MacLean Elizabeth Griffin Justin Hallström

🏆 AD of the day Cocktail lovers no longer need to fake their love for stout this St. Patrick’s Day, thanks to Kahlúa’s latest creation – the ‘Schneaky’ Espresso Martini glass. Designed to look like a pint of Guinness, this cleverly disguised hand-blown glass lets revellers enjoy an Espresso Martini while blending in with the crowd. Maybe nostalgia isn't what it used to be, but it's still a powerful weapon - I enjoyed chatting to The Drum about some lessons the team at Wieden+Kennedy London and Ford Motor Company learnt about using old stories to sell the new Ford Capri: https://lnkd.in/e99XZzZY
