  • Whilst speaking at the ECI last week, Dr. Nicole Hunter, our Head of WMArchitect Single-Use Solutions, shared insights on a project we're incredibly proud of at Watson-Marlow. The focus was on reducing the environmental impact of our fluid path component BioClamp, while maintaining the highest performance standards required by the industry. Nicole highlighted the life cycle assessment conducted in collaboration with the University of Exeter, showcasing our understanding of the product's environmental impacts. Here's what she had to say: "I was delighted to speak at the Engineering Conference International (ECI) last week, where I shared findings on a project we are enormously proud of here at Watson-Marlow. The project focused on reducing the environmental impact of our fluid path component BioClamp, while ensuring we maintain the highest levels of performance required by the industry. I shared findings on the life cycle assessment that we conducted in collaboration with University of Exeter to showcase how we came to understand the environmental impacts of the product. It was wonderful to have so much engagement and insightful questions from the audience, emphasising just how important sustainable manufacture is for all of us in the biopharm industry"
