💜 International Women’s Day 2025 💜   This year’s theme, ‘Accelerate Action’, encouraged us all to reflect on the role we play in fostering a diverse and supportive workplace where everyone can thrive. We were shocked to learn that at the current rate of progress, gender parity will not happen until 2154 - which is roughly five generations away.   Accelerating Action emphasises the importance of taking prompt and decisive steps towards gender equality. Today, we took the opportunity to reflect on how we can all make a meaningful impact on women’s advancement in our daily lives. Whether it’s calling out stereotypes, challenging discrimination, questioning bias, celebrating women’s success, or sharing our knowledge with others, each of us has a part to play. To solidify our commitment, we all signed our pledge board, stating what we will personally do to drive change.   We held some exciting activities throughout the day to mark this important occasion, including a quiz, word searches, and enjoying some delicious purple smoothies and sweets! We are also starting a collection for an amazing local charity, Stop Domestic Abuse, which supports and protects victims and survivors of domestic abuse.   While today serves as a reminder of the progress we must make, it’s important to remember that celebrating women’s achievements and fostering gender equality shouldn’t be confined to just one day. 💙 Blue Monday 💙 Blue Monday falls on the third Monday of January, and is said to be the most depressing day of the year. Many may not know that this is not backed up by any research, and that it was actually created by a travel company to sell more holidays! Because of this, we decided to turn the day into an opportunity for positivity! Yesterday, we asked our colleagues to take a moment to reflect on something they’re grateful for, and to grab a pen and a note, and place it on our whiteboard to spread positivity. We also provided some sweet treats, along with some fresh fruit, to keep everyone energised and uplifted throughout the day 🧁🍓 Poor mental health can affect anyone, at any point of the year. Thank you to all our colleagues for your efforts when prioritising mental health, and encouraging a positive workplace every day of the year 💙

🎄 Festive Fun at BioPure!🎄   This month, BioPure has embraced the holiday spirit with a series of festive activities! We started with our Christmas Lunch, allowing us to celebrate the start of the festive season together as a team.   We then celebrated Christmas Jumper Day and a bake sale, raising money for Save the Children. We also took some time to write over 200 Christmas cards for residents of local care homes, and collected donations for Sophie’s Legacy, a local charity supporting families in hospital with their children.   To keep the festive excitement going, we created an Advent Calendar! Each day, a BioPure Bauble was hidden somewhere on site, with the first person to find the bauble winning a prize! 🎁   We wish everyone a fabulous festive break, and we look forward to seeing you all in 2025! ✨

💚 Mental Health First Aid 💚 Last week, 13 of our colleagues completed their Mental Health First Aid Training! This means that we now have a total of 22 trained Mental Health First Aiders at BioPure! The wellbeing of our colleagues is extremely important to us, and we are committed to creating a workplace where people feel safe talking about their mental health. Thank you so much Jill Mead for visiting and supporting our colleagues through the training!

🌸 World Menopause Day 🌸 Every year on 18th October, we celebrate World Menopause Day with the aim of raising awareness about the symptoms of menopause, and the support and treatment options available for those experiencing or affected by it. Despite affecting half of the world’s population, menopause is still surrounded by stigma and misunderstanding. We think it’s time to change that. At BioPure, we are pleased to announce that we have committed to being a Menopause Friendly Employer! With 1 in 4 people considering leaving their jobs due to menopause symptoms, it is time to break the silence surrounding menopause in the workplace and take meaningful action. ❤✨ World Mental Health Day ✨❤ BioPure spent today celebrating World Mental Health Day! This year’s theme for World Mental Health Day was ‘It's Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace’. At Biopure, we are deeply committed to this priority. Our core value of safety goes beyond just physical safety to include overall wellbeing and psychological safety. We strive to create a culture where everyone feels comfortable speaking up about how they’re feeling. We started off our day with a yoga session for our colleagues, which was then followed by a lunchtime wellbeing walk to get us out in the fresh air! After lunch we held a ‘Tea and Talk’ session, allowing our colleagues to come together, share experiences, and reflect on the importance of mental health in the workplace. We also had a small treat for all our colleagues to enjoy! Everyone is affected by mental health at some point in their lives, whether this is our own, or someone else’s. We are proud to be a safe and supportive work environment where everyone feels comfortable to prioritise themselves and openly discuss their mental health. #WorldMentalHealthDay #WMHD2024 #MentalHealthMatters

🎉 BioPure’s First Family Fun Day! 🎉 On Saturday 7th September, we held our very first Family Fun Day to celebrate 25 years of BioPure! A huge thank you to the 190 attendees who made the event unforgettable! It was a fantastic opportunity for our colleagues and their families to relax and have some fun! The day was filled with joy and laughter! From the funfair stalls, inflatables, live music and the amazing face painting, there was something for everyone to enjoy! A massive thank you to everyone who came and made the day so special. We look forward to celebrating many more milestones and creating even more unforgettable memories! 💙

💙 Making a Difference Together 💙   At BioPure, we are committed to giving back to our communities. That’s why we offer all our colleagues 3 paid volunteering days every year, empowering them to support causes they are passionate about.   We thrilled to say that so far this year, our team has contributed an amazing 295 volunteering hours to local initiatives!   Here’s how we’ve been making a difference: Creating an outdoor classroom at a local school for boys who have additional needs, giving students a new environment to learn and thrive 🌿 Guiding students through mock interviews, helping them prepare for their future and boosting their confidence and skills 💻👨🏾💼 Attending STEM events, teaching young people about careers at BioPure and within the STEM industry 👩🏻🔬 Helping out at The Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre, carrying out health checks, and maintaining their site so that they can continue rescuing and re-homing 1000 animals every year 🐈🐇 Smaller acts of kindness, including litter picks, bake sales, and donating vegetables from our company allotment to a local food bank! 🥕🍰   Every hour spent volunteering reflects our commitment to building stronger, more supportive communities. We’re proud of our team’s efforts and look forward to continuing this journey of giving back!
