There's been an incredible buzz for day one at #VisitScotlandConnect 2025 at P&J Live in Aberdeen. Across two days, 240 Scottish tourism businesses will meet with 250 tour operators and travel agents from 20 markets around the world to do business – all under one roof. When a holiday changes your life… Julie and Steve Olley fell in love with the Outer Hebrides after holidaying in Uist in the late ‘90s. A year later they moved to the islands, taking over the tenancy of ‘Croft 36’ on the Isle of Harris. Now they are serving up homemade local delicacies to visitors. Their story is an example of the transformative effect of tourism and features in our series of documentary-style shorts on our YouTube channel.
We brought a taste of Scotland to New York...with a little help from The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and Clare Coghill Scotland's Snack Shack treated New Yorkers to complimentary classic dishes with a Scottish twist, before Madison Square Park came alive with a traditional ceilidh fitness class. The activity was part of our work to promote Scotland to one of our largest international markets, at the annual NYC Tartan Week.
