Libraries are the lifeblood of our communities. Beyond books, they are welcoming spaces where people learn, find support, connect, and thrive. Investing in our libraries means investing in the people of Glasgow—strengthening local communities and shaping a more inclusive, informed society. Thanks to previous funding from the Public Library Improvement Fund, we’ve partnered with incredible organisations to bring innovative ideas to life, expanding our Health and Wellbeing services. Library users can now access invaluable support, resources, and information, creating lasting benefits for individuals and communities. 👉 Check out the slides below to see what’s available and find links to more details in the comments!

Last year, we ran a competition with Go Radio to unearth ‘A Song for Glasgow’. Our aim was to find a song that captures the essence and vibrancy of our city, which will be used to represent our charity until the end of 2026. In return, the campaign offered bands and artists a chance to gain exposure by being featured across our future marketing campaigns plus five days’ recording time at the world-class Gorbals Sound studio. After being inundated with entries, we shortlisted our top 10 and asked Go Radio listeners to vote for their favourite. Five finalists then performed to a live audience at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, with our panel of music industry experts choosing Jamie Campbell and his song ‘Glasgow’ as the winner. 🎥 Click the link in the comments to listen to the track in full.
