🌍 Today is World Health Day — a global reminder that health is a human right and the foundation of thriving communities. This year, the World Health Organization (WHO) launches the campaign 'Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures.' A powerful call to action to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths — and to ensure that every mother and baby gets the best possible start in life. 👶 💙 Why it matters: 💔 Every 14 seconds, a newborn dies within their first month. 💔 Every 2 minutes, a woman loses her life during pregnancy or childbirth. 💔 In conflict zones, a woman’s risk of dying in childbirth is 1 in 51 — compared to 1 in 593 elsewhere. These numbers aren’t just statistics. They represent real lives — and they demand real action. 💡 What is WHO calling for? ✅ Greater awareness of maternal and newborn health gaps ✅ Smart investments in women’s and babies’ healthcare ✅ Community support for parents and frontline healthcare professionals ✅ Access to life-saving information during pregnancy, childbirth & beyond 💥 What can we do? 🗣️ SPEAK UP: Use your voice and your platform — share, post, and raise awareness using hashtags #HopefulFutures and #HealthForAll 💸 DONATE: Support WHO’s mission to protect mothers and babies worldwide 🎓 EDUCATE YOURSELF: Join the below upcoming online events at https://lnkd.in/ejBUPnPE 🔗 "Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures: Sustainable Development Goal and the constellation of care" 🔗 "Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights: Advancing Health, Equity and Development" Let’s work together to create a world where every mother survives and every child thrives. 💪🪴 #WorldHealthDay #GlobalHealth #MaternalHealth #NewbornCare #HealthEquity #SDGs #HopefulFutures #HealthForAll

DID YOU KNOW: Yesterday was the International Day of Happiness? It was initially founded by the United Nations who believe happiness is a fundamental human right, and serves as a reminder to governments around the world to consider their people’s well-being. On this day every year, a World Happiness Report is released that discusses trends in happiness, and its link to health and well-being. This year’s report focused on caring and sharing and had some really interesting insights. COVID-19 💉 Acts of kindness increased globally during the pandemic and still remain about 10% above their pre-pandemic levels. Lunch buddies 🥙 People who share more meals with others report significantly higher levels of life satisfaction. This is true across ages, genders, countries, cultures, and regions. Are we pessimists? 😟 Studies show that we are too pessimistic about the kindness of others. Acts of kindness like returning a lost wallet, are about twice as high as people expect. Roommates 👯 People who live with others tend to be happier than those who live alone and a household size of about four people is predictive of higher happiness levels. Deaths of despair 💔 Increasing prosocial behaviour like donating, volunteering and helping strangers is linked to lower suicide rates around the world. In a market where billions are spent on advertising, why are so many pharmaceutical ads forgotten? 🧠 In this thought-provoking think piece, Cassandra Sinclair, President of VCCP Health (North America), breaks down the neuroscience behind brand recall and how it drives patient behavior. With less than 16% of pharmaceutical ads recalled accurately, it’s clear that brands need more than just awareness. They need memorability. Drawing from our ‘Cracking the Memory Code’ research, Cassandra explores the five key strategies - CHESS moves - that can help pharmaceutical marketers ensure their messages aren't just seen, but remembered. These include: ♟️ Character: Relatable figures that create emotional connections. ♟️ Humor: A touch of levity to humanize complex medical information. ♟️ Emotion: Deep, patient-centric storytelling that enhances memory encoding. ♟️ Surprise: Unexpected elements that break through cognitive filters. ♟️ Sonic Branding: Distinctive auditory cues that reinforce brand recognition. Why does memory matter? 📊 Research shows that when patients and healthcare providers remember crucial brand information, they are more likely to choose that brand. By engaging memory through focused, emotionally resonant narratives and consistent brand connections, pharmaceutical marketers can foster stronger brand preference and increase usage. Don't miss out on the full breakdown of how to trigger recall at critical decision points. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eSgbHG8m #CrackingTheMemoryCode #PharmaMarketing ♟️

Is women's health truly back in the pharma and healthcare spotlight, or is it more than just a moment? Women's health is a fundamental market opportunity in health and wellness. Women are the primary decision-makers in healthcare (80%) and consumer spending (85%) according to the recent SeeHer report. Unfortunately, most companies are still speaking to women based on their demographics - versus the real mindset and motivations of women today. Hear what our North America President Cassandra Sinclair said on the topic in a discussion with other industry experts for Marketing & Pharma You can read more here: https://lnkd.in/eWSVSrSM #WomensHealth #Pharma #Womenleaders
