Across the United Kingdom people with #AcquiredBrainInjuries are being denied the neurorehabilitation they need both in hospitals and in the community. Rehabilitation maximises opportunities to regain or improve abilities after a traumatic injury or illness. It may help them to get back to work or school, or increase their independence so they need less external support. It is one of the most cost effective services in the NHS and yet one of the least recognised. Thank you to Andy McDonald MP for highlighting the lack of services in Teeside and bringing this issue to the attention of the Prime Minister in Parliament and to public attention. And thank you to Richard McMann for telling your story and thanks to Dr. Jenna Moffitt Donald Brechin and the other clinicians who have carefully collected and presented their data. #RightToRehab #RehabWorks https://lnkd.in/eHEska83

It is very important for our members, to have information about local services and the support of colleagues so UKABIF has established a network of regional groups around the UK. The groups are self-governing, thanks to the hard work of small groups of individuals in each area who manage meetings and organise networking and educational events. Visit our website to find out how to join your local group and to see events which are taking place in your area. #UKABIF #AcquiredBrainInjury #ABI #UK #Regional #Network #MembersNetwork
