Our rehabilitation is all about offering personalised support to help people thrive and live as independently as they wish to. One of Paul's goals was to be able to drink with a cup and straw when attending live music and comedy gigs. He recently achieved this, and was able to practice this at a Greg Davies gig thanks to his hard work and the support of his Speech and Language Therapist. We're delighted for Paul and hope that, with our support, everyone with a brain injury and neurological condition can grow their independence and confidence in a way that matters to them. Meet Mary, one of our incredible London Marathon Runners 🏃♀️🧠 With the marathon coming up in just over three weeks, we're honoured that Mary has chosen to fundraise for our cause! She added: 'Running the London Marathon is incredibly meaningful to me—it's not just another race, but a chance to prove to myself that resilience and determination can push me beyond any challenge. This will be my fourth World Marathon Major, bringing me one step closer to completing all six. I’m excited to take on the iconic course while raising awareness for Brainkind.' Thank you so much for all your support and dedication Mary! You can donate to her fundraising page here: https://lnkd.in/easJMWfT

Can you imagine being 17-years-old, having just finished your first year studying IT, before falling 30 feet leaving you with a brain injury? This is what happened to Tom in his first year of college. He was left partially blind in one eye and acquired cognitive problems which made it difficult to complete every day tasks and keep on track. But with our care in Supported Living, he was able to work on his eye sight and cognitive skills with the rehabilitation team, pick up new hobbies like cooking and he's started volunteering at the local animal rescue centre, all of which has made a huge difference to his mental health and wellbeing. This is the difference that our support makes - read Tom's full inspiring story below👇
