It's Neurodiversity Celebration Week! This month, thortful's book club read was Fern Brady’s Strong Female Character. It’s been a fantastic read, exploring how being a woman can shape the experience of being autistic. Fern’s honesty, brilliance and bravery makes this book a must read, we highly recommend! In our conversation yesterday, we discussed some of our own experiences of neurodiversity, what we learnt about autism and why it’s a lot harder to diagnose in women as they’re able to mask more effectively than men. It's really helped us to create a more supportive and inclusive workplace. Because the world could always use a little more thortfulness 🧡
