In a company that celebrates a wide range of leadership styles, I found mine not by changing who I was—but by deepening into it. I’ve always been the quiet one. Even as a kid, being introverted was part of my identity. For a long time, I thought that disqualified me from leadership. I assumed leaders had to command a room, energize from the front, speak first. I wasn’t that. I was the observer. The listener. The one who processed before I acted. What I’ve come to realize is that leadership doesn’t only come from volume—it comes from clarity. And clarity often begins with listening. If you're introverted and quiet like me, you might find that your strength lies in observing what others might miss. I’ve learned that by listening first, I can understand what motivates people, see what’s not being said, and offer support or perspective in a way that’s truly additive—not just reactive. Leadership and introversion are not opposites. I lead with presence—actively listening and tailoring solutions to the person in front of me. It’s made me more impactful not only as a people leader, but when it comes to client strategy and finding new, innovative ways to grow our accounts. I’m proud to call quiet confidence my most authentic leadership style. And I’m grateful that here at Third Bridge, I was never asked to model myself after a louder one. Instead, I was encouraged to define what strong leadership looked like for 𝘮𝘦—and given the space to spread my wings while staying rooted in who I am. I couldn’t have done that without the strong women leaders who encouraged me to find my voice—each leading in her own way, which is exactly what made their support so powerful: Meredith Hompe Marcela Zegarra-Ballon Valencia de Santos Melanie Vladimirschi The greatest gift of Third Bridge’s leadership development journey has been the invitation to show up as a powerful woman in leadership as 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧. They didn’t ask me to become louder. They asked me to become 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘳. And that has made all the difference. #WeAreThirdBridge #womeninleadership
