  • Our First Veterans' Coffee Morning at the LINK Community Hub 🇬🇧 We were delighted to welcome a wonderful group of veterans to our very first Coffee Morning at the LINK Community Hub in Powick, which will now run every Thursday from 10am to 12 noon. The morning was filled with great conversations, laughter, and a genuine sense of connection. Many attendees stayed beyond the session to explore the hub and find out more about the support and activities available. A special thank you to Cllr Martin Allen, a veteran himself, for joining us and informing attendees that local veterans can use public transport free of charge to attend the hub if they do not drive—an important message that was warmly received. It was a fantastic start, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more veterans in the coming weeks. If you're a female veteran, we also run Ladies of Leisure (LOL) every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm—a relaxed and supportive space to meet others and get involved in creative and social activities. 📍 LINK Community Hub, Powick, WR2 4NH 📞 01905 831 881 📧 paul.taylor@stepway.org for further information or to get involved. #VeteransSupport #Wellbeing #CommunityHub #LINKCommunityHub #STEPWAYCIO #VeteransCoffeeMorning #Worcestershire #SocialConnection #ArmedForcesCommunity #MentalHealthSupport #FemaleVeterans

  • 🌿 Community, teamwork and a splash of paint! We were thrilled to welcome the fantastic team from Worcester Bosch back to the LINK Community Hub this week. They arrived bright and early, ready to roll up their sleeves and make a real difference – and that’s exactly what they did! Thanks to a generous £100 donation of materials from Dean, the store manager at Wickes Worcester, we had all the fence paint we needed to refresh our outdoor spaces. The Bosch volunteers – Tina, Nathan, Stuart, Sean, Alex, Luke, Jakk, Dean, Patrick and Ramona – transformed our fences and sheds, bringing new life to the area. The sun was shining, the music was on, and the energy was incredible. A big thank you as well to our volunteer Tash for delivering a delicious buffet – it went down a treat with everyone! 👏 A huge well done and thank you to the Bosch team for their time, effort and brilliant attitude – community spirit in action. 📣 If you’re a company looking for a meaningful and rewarding volunteering opportunity, we’d love to hear from you! Not only is it a great team-building experience, but your support helps us continue making a difference. 👉 Get in touch: 📞 01905 831 881 📧 paul.taylor@stepway.org Let’s build stronger communities – together. #WorcesterBosch #Wickes #CorporateSocialResponsibility #CSR #CommunityEngagement #Volunteering #TeamBuilding #MakingADifference #STEPWAY #LINKCommunityHub

  • 🌷 Mother’s Day – A Moment to Reflect and Celebrate 🌷 Today, we take time to honour the strength, love and guidance of mothers everywhere – birth mums, adoptive mums, step-mums, foster mums, and those who nurture with a mother’s heart. We also recognise the single fathers doing an incredible job raising their children with both love and resilience. To those who are missing their mums today – whether it’s the first year or many years on – our thoughts are with you. Your love and memories remain deeply felt. 💜 A special thought goes to all serving families spending Mother’s Day apart – your sacrifice does not go unnoticed, and we thank you for your strength. Mother’s Day can stir a mix of emotions – joy, grief, gratitude and reflection. Whatever this day brings for you, know that you are not alone. Let’s continue to support, uplift, and show kindness – today and every day. 💛 #MothersDay #ServingFamilies #SingleDads #InMemory #KindnessMatters #CommunitySupport

  • Judy Gibbs MIEP West Midland RFCA 🔥🎉 What a brilliant day at the LINK Community Hub! 🎉🔥 Our Jumble Sale & BBQ was a great success – with big smiles, full bellies, and some real bargains snapped up along the way! 😄 Everything at the jumble sale was just £1 – and judging by the empty tables, the locals LOVED it! The BBQ went down an absolute storm, with the smell of sizzling food drawing people from all over – even the footballers from the next field came over for a bite! 🍔🌭 Our cosy Community Café served up steaming Rijo coffee, homemade cakes and sweet treats – it quickly became a favourite hangout for visitors looking for a tasty break. ☕🍰 We were also proud to introduce two fantastic new enterprises now based at the LINK: 🪵 Greenwood Crafts – run by Darren, a veteran who handmakes beautiful bird boxes, bird tables and more. 🌼 CW Planters, run by Callum, offering high-quality handmade wooden planters in all shapes and sizes. Honestly – you won’t beat them on price or craftsmanship! Thanks to everyone who came along, supported, donated or simply enjoyed the day – we raised an amazing £328! Every penny goes straight back into supporting veterans, their family members, and the wider community through the brilliant projects we run from Monday to Saturday. Come and see us soon – there’s always something happening at the LINK! 📍 LINK Community Hub, Hospital Lane, Powick, WR2 4NH 📞 01905 831 881 – ask for Paul #CommunityMatters #JumbleSaleFun #SupportLocal #VeteranRunBusiness #GreenwoodCrafts #CWPlanters #LINKCommunityHub #BBQVibes #CakeAndCoffee #ThankYou
