Our corporate restructuring & advisory experts have successfully advised OutsideClinic on its recent restructuring plan. The court-sanctioned plan, approved on 28 March 2025, marks a significant development in UK restructuring case law as it is one of the first instances where HMRC have voted in favour of it. We are delighted to have led on legal negotiations for five co-operative independent society members (ISMs) – Central Co-op, who led on the deal, along with Lincolnshire Co-op, Scotmid Co-operative, East of England Co-op, Southern Co-op – who have signed a landmark 10-year corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) with RWE. With our Head of Energy & Infrastructure and PPA specialist James Wood-Robertson at the helm on legal aspects, we worked in partnership with Inspired PLC to negotiate the PPA, executing the deal in just three months. How quickly can an artificial intelligence (AI) agent be put together? Our Director of IS, Dawn Faulkner, answered that very question at Microsoft’s Legal Sector CIO & Partner Connection event this week when she built a Copilot agent in real time during the Agentic World presentation. Creating a simple agent to interrogate Microsoft contracts, Dawn demonstrated the ease of putting the software together – proving that anyone can have a go and enjoy effective results.
