I’m really honoured to be speaking at the 6th Annual Conference of the Cyprus Statistical Society (CSS) on Friday, 30 May 2025. I’ll be joining the FENStatS special session: Advancing Statistical Literacy in the Era of Data-Driven Decision-Making organised in collaboration with the Royal Statistical Society My talk, Statistical and Data Literacy for All is rooted in a simple belief: that statistics and maths are drivers for good and social change - and no one should be left behind Across society, decisions are being made with data every day. But data only empowers everyone when it’s explained clearly, openly, and with time for all to explore its impact and meaning. So I’ll be asking: how do we build trust? How do we truly listen? And how do we make statistical and data literacy something that belongs to everyone? Huge thanks to the organisers, especially Milto Hadjikyriakou the invitation—looking forward to the conversations and connections ahead. Let me know if I’ll see you there. #Statistics #StatisticsForAll #AIethics #DataLiteracy #CyprusStatisticalSociety #FENStatS
