We know these are challenging times for many of our farmers. Today, RABI is in Parliament providing farming-focussed mental health awareness training to MPs and EFRA Committee members, helping them learn more about some of the mental health challenges our community face, how to be aware of and respond to these challenges if they arise in conversation and help people to access RABI's professional, wrap-around support. You can learn more about the training here: bit.ly/RABI-MHtraining #thefarmerscharity #professionalservices #expertfarminghelp #mentalhealth #wellbeing #RABI

Farming isn’t just about producing food, it’s about perseverance, problem-solving and lifting each other up. This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the women in farming who embody these qualities every day. We asked three inspirational female farmers to share their thoughts on what they’ve learned and the lessons they carry through life. Here’s what they had to say: 💬 " Farming has taught me how to relinquish control and quiet my perfectionism a little and accept that some things are ticking along to the rhythm of Mother Nature and all we can control is how we adapt and respond to whatever is sent our way, good or bad. I’ve found that learning to lean into that acceptance that not everything can be controlled is extremely helpful when dealing with life in general. " – Holly Moscrop 💬 "I have learnt that if you’re not as good at something, you don’t give up —you try better next time. It is what it is, like my grandma used to teach me… 'Good, better, best. Never let it rest until your good is better and your better is best.' Same with life in general. No matter how hard life gets, you think positive and you try again. Tomorrow is a new day." – Sam Shuttleworth 💬 " Since I started farming, I've learnt how to cope better with external factors that are out of my control. I've learnt that however emotionally, physically, or financially resilient we make ourselves, there are times of struggle and it's not a weakness to ask for help." – Holly Atkinson Who’s a woman in farming that inspires you? Tag them in the comments of this post to recognise their impact and celebrate their contributions. #IWD2024 #WomenInFarming #FarmingLife #FarmingUK
