Neuro-inclusion isn’t about doing more - it’s about doing things differently. In celebration of Neurodiversity Week, it’s time to rethink how we support neurodivergent talent. Let's design environments where everyone can thrive. Check out this post from Cressida Stephenson on six practical shifts that can enhance productivity, engagement, trust, and success - not just for ND employees, but for everyone. Small, intentional changes can make a huge difference. Let’s build workplaces that work for all minds. #NeuroDiversityWeek #NeuroInclusion #InclusiveWorkplaces #Diversity #ProjectNemo

Disabled CEO & Founder @ EdenChase Associates | Unlocking Disability Inclusion | Future-proofing talent strategies by turning Neurodiversity & Disability into a competitive edge, maximising market reach.

Neuro-inclusion isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing things differently. For too long, workplaces have expected ND talent to fit into rigid systems; Instead of creating environments where everyone can thrive. It’s time to change that. Here are 6 practical shifts that can transform: - Productivity - Engagement - Trust - And Success: Pomodoro Timers – Work with the brain, not against it. Here’s what’s inside: ↳ Breaking tasks into short, focused sprints, with regular breaks boosts attention, reduces overwhelm & helps to prevent burnout. ↳ This isn't just useful for ND workers, its a game changer for everyone. Sensory Mapping – Because one size doesn’t fit all. ↳ Noise, lighting, seating & event office layouts impact focus. ↳ Sensory mapping helps organisations understand and adapt workspaces to reduce distractions and support optimal productivity. ↳ Quieter areas, noise-cancelling headphones, or different lighting options can make all the difference. Accommodations & Adjustments – A workplace that flexes, wins. ↳ Low-cost changes—like flexible deadlines, different meeting formats, or alternative communication methods—remove barriers and unlock true potential. ↳ The key? Proactively offering adjustments rather than waiting for people to ask. Focus-Driven Workflows – Ditch multitasking, embrace deep work. ↳ Traditional workflows often reward ‘busy work’ over actual output. ↳ A focus-driven approach prioritises deep work, clear task transitions, and structured support—helping ND talent (and everyone else) to excel without constant context-switching. Communication Preferences – Say it in the way that lands best. ↳Not everyone processes information the same way. Some prefer written over verbal instructions, others need visuals or real-time check-ins.  ↳ Giving employees the autonomy to set their communication preferences ensures clarity, reduces stress, and improves collaboration. Performance Reviews That Actually Work – Rethink success. ↳Traditional performance metrics can be biased against ND employees.  ↳ Instead of focusing solely on speed, verbal communication, or rigid expectations, effective reviews consider strengths, project-based contributions, and goal-oriented support.  ↳ Feedback should be clear, constructive, and designed to help individuals grow—not fit into a mould. Neuro-inclusion isn’t about ticking boxes—it’s about unlocking potential. Swipe through the carousel to explore practical ways to create workplaces where everyone thrives. What’s one small change that has made a big difference in your workplace? Let’s share ideas in the comments! ⬇️ #NeuroInclusion #InclusiveWorkplaces #Diversity #Equity #Hiring Image ID: Carousel of A 10 Step Guide to Greater Neuro Inclusion @ Work.
