SHOW REVIEW: PTE World 2025 PTE World (Passenger Terminal Expo) 2025 took place April 8, 9 & 10 at IFEMA MADRID, drawing over 350 international exhibitors from Europe, the Middle East, North America, Asia and other parts of the world, to broker new partnerships, showcase their latest technological #innovations and explore ambitious #development projects from around the world. Overall, more than 10,000 people from over 120 countries attended in 2025, making the show another record-breaking success. With the entire international #aviation industry at their fingertips for three full days, there were opportunities aplenty for intense #networking, solution sourcing and intelligence. With the 2025 event a resounding success, dates have now been announced for next year: PTE World (Passenger Terminal Expo) 2026 will take place at the Excel in London, UK, on March 17, 18 & 18, 2026. Fraport AG and TAV Airports Holding have completed the first phase of the expansion of Antalya Airport (AYT) in Turkey, adding 132,000m2 to international Terminal 2 and 38,000m2 to the domestic terminal as well as carrying out projects to build additional apron facilities, such as taxiways and a new parking facility. Dr Stefan Schulte, CEO of Fraport, said, "The opening of the additional terminal areas is a milestone for us in strengthening #Antalya's position as the leading holiday airport in the #Mediterranean region." Voltfang is to install several battery storage systems with a total capacity of 540kWh at Stuttgart Airport (STR) in #Germany to optimize self-consumption, cap peak loads, enable energy trading and guarantee a stable and sustainable power supply as the airport targets climate-neutrality by 2040. Carsten Poralla from Stuttgart Airport stated, "The new battery storage system is another building block of our ambitious climate strategy with the goal of making airport operations greenhouse-gas neutral by 2040." David Oudsandji, CEO and co-founder of Voltfang, said, "The system integration of battery storage, charging infrastructure and PVs into the existing system was made possible within a very short time with the support of Omexom Smart Technologies, with a customized central hub serving as the hub for these components." Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation (ACAC) and Ricondo & Associates, Inc. have signed an agreement to develop a transformative masterplan, at #PTExpoConf in Madrid! The deal between the operator of Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) in the Philippines and the aviation consultancy seeks to expand #airportcapacity, optimize operations and integrate technology to provide an improved #passengerexperience while boosting connectivity across the region.
