Our teams in south London, Kent and Sussex delivered big upgrades over the long Easter weekend - all while most of the railway stayed open for your services. 👷♀️ 👷♂️ Engineers worked around the clock to keep our railway safe, reliable and fit for the future. Work ranged from laying new track and upgrading signalling systems to preventing landslips. 🎥 In this video, David Davidson FCIRO, route director for our Kent route, goes out on track to see some of these projects, including: • rebuilding a junction in Battersea • installing a modern signalling system in Lewisham • renewing over 5km of track between Eastbourne and Hastings, and 2km of track on the Bromley North branch line • preventing landslips at Chislet, near Canterbury.
