Renewable Energy Power Generation

Living Energy

About us

We’re Nadara, one of Europe’s largest renewable energy independent power producers. We own and operate around 200 renewable energy sites across Europe and the US, producing electricity from wind, solar, waste-to-energy, and biomass. Every day, we harness the power of nature for good. The most obvious way is by generating dependable renewable energy, but this is just the beginning. We strive to make a deeper impact, seizing the opportunity to live renewable energy in the decisions we make and actions we take, both big and small. We call this living energy. It sees us connecting with people, contributing to communities, and caring for the natural world. Guided by our values of impact, care and connection we work together to make our global and local impact as positive as possible.

The UK electricity market is set to change, bringing potential uncertainty to bills, businesses, and decarbonisation targets. But there’s still time for the UK government to make - what we believe - is the right choice through Enhanced National Pricing, so we can all work together to deliver Clean Power 2030, champion homegrown renewables, and make the UK an energy superpower. Once again, we took part in the Milan Relay Marathon for Charity. We’ve been running as a team since 2019 – and it’s become a tradition we’re proud of! A big thank you to our 32 colleagues in Italy who completed the 42K relay. It’s the kind of initiative we’re looking forward to repeating in other cities. Next stop: Edinburgh – get your running shoes ready!

On Wednesday, we had the opportunity to host Energy Transition LLM students from the School of Law, University of Aberdeen at our Edinburgh office. Our colleagues Anna Cameron and Andreas Formosa gave a presentation on who Nadara is as well as sharing insights into our global legal work in renewable energy development and operation, contributing to their understanding of how energy law takes shape in practice.   Thanks to everyone involved in making this visit happen - we’re always happy to take part in these exchanges.   Here are some moments from the day!

We’ve been collecting empty boxes and packaging - both from our Lisbon office and from colleagues’ homes - and delivering them to Mind The Trash, Portugal’s first Zero Waste online store. These materials are reused for shipping, refilling bulk detergents, or even turned into containers for solid shampoos. This initiative has already made a difference: ✔️ Reduced waste in the office – all computer equipment boxes, biscuit boxes, tea packages, and other packaging is reused instead of being sent directly for recycling. ✔️ Reduced waste from employees – colleagues redirected boxes from personal orders and household packaging for reuse and/or direct recycling. ✔️ Contributed to the circular economy – supporting material reuse and waste reduction. Catarina Matos, from Mind The Trash, shared her thoughts on this partnership: “This initiative is a true example of how collaborations between companies can create meaningful impact. By collecting and donating empty boxes, detergent containers, and other packaging materials, Nadara is reducing waste within its own operations while also supporting a more circular system.” Thanks to this effort, at Mind The Trash, we are able to give a second life to materials that are still in perfect condition, using them for order shipments, bulk detergent refills, and even as recycled solid shampoo travel boxes. Because of these donations, we don’t need to purchase new materials, avoiding unnecessary resource consumption and making use of what already exists.” A big thank you to everyone in our Lisbon office for contributing, and to Catarina Miranda Oliveira, Ricardo Minau, and Hugo Galinha for making this happen! #Sustainability

Connection is key! Last week at KEY - The Energy Transition Expo, we were especially honoured by a visit from Italy’s Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, of the Ministero dell'Ambiente e della Sicurezza Energetica, who stopped by our stand. During the three days of the fair, our colleagues from Development, Execution, Asset Management, Energy Markets, and Procurement had around 80 meetings with partners, suppliers, and industry experts. We also had four speakers at conferences: Gianluca Cipolletta, Ksenia Balanda, Pietro Torretta, and Antonio Zingales. It was a fantastic few days of connections and insights—have a look at the highlights in our photo gallery. Next stop: WindEurope!
