This week, to celebrate International Women’s Day, we hosted a company-wide event to make sure we’re all supporting one another and succeeding together👯♀️ Our board sponsors hosted a fireside chat, and some amazing colleagues showed real vulnerability by sharing their personal stories about the barriers which still exist today, and highlighting the importance of allyship as we continue on our inclusion journey. Based on recent research from the World Economic Forum that it’ll take five generations to reach gender parity, we wanted to make sure *everyone* was involved in the conversation – because when men are actively involved, more companies report better progress! We extended an invitation to our male colleagues to become ‘allies’ and an amazing 101 of them have stood up to the task 🙌 📣 We’ve upskilled our male allies on the ‘Authority Gap’, and shared tips on actions which can be taken when we notice the Gap in action – making sure everyone feels supported and encouraged to succeed in the workplace 🤝 We know there’s work still to be done, but events like these are key to make sure we’re taking confident steps in the right direction.
