We are delighted to share that MIS has been recertified for ISO 27001! Following months of hard work from the MIS Security team Reg Knight and Luke Knight, we were able to demonstrate that we had maintained our initial ISO 27001:2013 certification whilst transitioning to the new ISO 27001:2022 standard. A key highlight of this process is that we were judged to have zero nonconformities or opportunities for improvement during the audit. We'd like to take this time to thank the team for their fantastic effort, with this recertification being a core part of our continuing commitment to ensure that Information Security is at the forefront of how we operate as a business.

To provide clients with accurate and actionable insight on potential claims and confirmed damage to specific properties, the team have added a Claims Layer, Building Level Damage Assessments and Satellite Imagery to the GEO report. This latest report update focuses on areas impacted by powerful tornadoes around Grand Junction and Selmer, Tennessee. Imagery is available for both cities with claims and building-level intelligence also included. The update also features further confirmed tornado tracks from this major outbreak. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates as the team continue their assessments. Access the report now to get ahead of incoming claims and quickly understand how in-force properties, policies and portfolios have been affected. If you are not a GEO user but would like to unlock MIS intelligence around this event, reach out to James Doe for support.

Following January's devastating LA wildfires, our friends at MDD Forensic Accountants asked if we would share some of our intelligence to help them produce a report summarising the impact of the wildfires. With the support of our valued imagery partners Maxar Technologies, we're delighted to share that this insightful report has now been published. The report features examples of MIS building-level damage assessments overlaid on top of Maxar's satellite imagery, as well as a data summary of the 57,000 building damage assessments performed by the MIS team. Thank you to Daniel Brown and Markus Heiss ACMA, CGMA for collaborating with us on this and make sure to check out the full report in the link below!
The scale of the LA wildfires is staggering, with reports indicating nearly 2,000 businesses with an estimated $1.4 billion in annual sales affected. In our recent LA Wildfires Report, Daniel Brown and Markus Heiss ACMA, CGMA review the devastating aftermath and expected impact on the insurance market. McKenzie Intelligence Services (MIS) assessed the impact of the LA wildfires on 57,000 individual buildings. They identified that 12,355 buildings were destroyed, and a further 17,500 buildings were at risk of internal damage from smoke. Snapshots from McKenzie Intelligence Services (MIS) building level damage assessments showcase 5,300 structures affected by the Palisades Fire and 7,000 structures from the Eaton Fire overlaid on Maxar Technologies satellite imagery.
