The official Mark for British manufacturing

About us

The official collective mark for British manufacturers, registered with UKIPO across 30 product classes. Our organisation brings together the British manufacturing community, united with the use of our registered collective mark, so their business can benefit in sales, marketing, exports and PR. Becoming a member entitles your business to a profile page on the Made in Britain Directory alongside all the other makers in our 50 product categories. We encourage buyers, specifiers and ultimately, consumers to treat the Directory as the procurement site for British-made goods. And many of our members use the MiB network of membership to find new suppliers and buyers. The Made in Britain collective mark is accredited to businesses that sell goods that have been manufactured or have undergone a final substantial change in Britain before sale. All companies that apply to use the Made in Britain marque may be asked to submit written evidence that they manufacture their products in Britain. Made in Britain adheres to advice on country of origin labelling included in the Trade Descriptions Act 1968. Country of origin is therefore the country in which a product last underwent a final treatment or process resulting in a substantial change. • The Made in Britain trademark has evolved into much more than just a mark of quality – it has become a powerful symbol of independence and innovation for British manufacturers. It represents the resilience, craftsmanship, and forward-thinking spirit that are the backbone of the UK manufacturing sector. Our CEO, John Pearce, has always championed the strength and potential of British-made products. Under his leadership, our organisation continues to play a key role in empowering and supporting the industry, helping to drive a future where British manufacturing thrives and is celebrated on the global stage. In a recent article by Paul Seddon on the BBC website, he highlights the growing importance of the Made in Britain trademark. Seddon points out how this iconic symbol enables companies to proudly showcase their “Britishness,” strengthening their identity and connecting with customers who value authenticity and quality. As we continue to support British manufacturers, the Made in Britain trademark remains an essential tool in helping businesses stand out and make a meaningful impact. It’s not just a label – it’s a statement of pride, quality, and innovation that resonates far beyond our shores.

He also discusses how the firm has designed, developed and manufactured a zero-emission transport refrigeration system, as well as what it’s like working on the factory floor with a team of over 100 people. Michael says, “What I take away from working with the team in our factory is how much gratification and satisfaction you get from building a tangible product in the UK. I remember the first time we completed our first-ever production unit; there were cheers and applause across the production line, which was an absolutely fantastic moment for everyone involved.” Watch now: https://lnkd.in/e8w-8kEm Subscribe: https://lnkd.in/e3kq8eQ8 #MadeinBritain #MiB #members #manufacturing #BritishManufacturing #UnPacked

Always open to cooperation and new projects / Community Ambassador Families4Peace / Co-Founder Light Craft Family

I graduated from Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics in 2011 with a master’s degree in International Trade, certain that my future lay in this field. It took me five years of dedication and hard work to reach the point where I could truly open the world for myself. I became passionate about sourcing and bringing the finest quality goods from across the globe to the Ukrainian market. Today, I am equally driven by the desire to showcase Ukraine’s strengths and potential to the world. I firmly believe that the synergy between Made in Britain - official and “Made in Ukraine” projects will pave the way for thriving and mutually beneficial partnerships. I was proud to hear about great examples of success and dedicated work of Ukrainian companies on the UK market. Thank you Ukrainian Business Way and London Chamber of Commerce and Industry for this opportunity.
