This incredible session was designed to empower us to tackle workplace challenges, whether it's negotiating for a raise, dealing with challenging colleagues, or simply standing our ground with confidence. The speakers, Rachael Ferguson and Eliza Hughes D'Aeth’ from Leverton Search, delivered insightful strategies and real-world advice that will undoubtedly stay with me for years to come. But what made this event even more special were the inspiring women I had the chance to meet. From old friends to new connections, it was amazing to share this empowering experience with such incredible, driven women. Some I’ve worked with before, and others I now consider valuable additions to my network. WOMEN IN CLIMATE BREAKFAST This time yesterday we hosted a Women in Climate Breakfast in partnership with Just Climate. Positive takeaways from the session; ✔ Find all the commonality you can. Engage with people on the wavelength they’re actually on rather than where you wish they were. ✔ Leave the self-righteousness at the door. Not everybody shares your passions and they don’t have to! Focus on demonstrating where you can add value. ✔ It’s okay to change the plan. Just because the ground moves from under your feet doesn’t mean the end goal has to change. Focus on the mission and recognise that the path to success is rarely linear! ✔ Shifting the metrics of success. Don’t get overly bogged down by the benchmarks or what competitors are doing.
