In the latest edition of HR Unlocked, Dave Procter, Director of Talent Advisory at The IN Group, dives into the topic which is often a source of frustration; strategic workforce planning (SWP).   Here are his key insights: 💡 Shifting the mindset from viewing SWP as a daunting task to integrating hiring, capability building, and succession planning into regular business reviews. 💡To enhance SWP accuracy, it’s crucial to connect the workforce plan with the business strategy. Understanding the organisation’s upcoming investments, transformation initiatives, mergers/acquisitions, and growth targets will provide valuable insights for workforce planning. 💡 TA leaders should be ready to receive feedback from stakeholders and accept that their SWP may not be perfect at first. Sharing the draft SWP with business leaders and being receptive to their feedback will enhance the plan's accuracy and boost TA’s reputation as a trusted strategic partner. Check out Dave’s article to learn how aligning Strategic Workforce Planning with your business strategy can drive more accurate hiring forecasts and strengthen TA’s role as a key business partner including insights from Jennifer (Jennie) Mead, FCIPD👇 Link to full article: https://lnkd.in/ef8xGT-c
