Last week, Intec and Insight Select were invited to attend the annual AGS Supplier Conference, which took place in Meta’s Rathbone Square office. It was an excellent opportunity for the team to collaborate and hear about the exciting future plans for the programme. On top of this, we were delighted to be presented with the "Most Valuable Player" award! Tariff Uncertainty and what it means for the Tech Sector ❓ Financial markets have been turbulent after major trade policy shifts. Trump announced a 10% tariff on all imports and a 34% (later 125%) tariff on Chinese goods, sending the S&P 500 and Nasdaq into bear territory, but in a wild rebound, the S&P surged nearly 10% in one day, its biggest jump since 2008. In response to escalating trade tensions, the European Central Bank is expected to cut its deposit rate on April 17 to help manage downside risks to inflation and economic growth. So what does this means for the Technology sector? Supply chain disruptions and investment hesitancy will play a huge part in the Tech market as investors will adopt a more cautious approach which will in turn effect the funding for tech start ups and innovation initiatives. As the situation evolves, staying informed being proactive is crucial. Companies may need to reassess supply chain strategies and market approaches to navigate the uncertainties ahead. Wishing Ella Mcilheron a Happy 3rd Intec-versary! Ella joined as a compliance officer, quickly mastering the recruitment contract industry and client requirements. She led our compliance process, earning a 100% score in audits by our three largest clients. In Year 2, she took on HR responsibilities during the Operations Manager's maternity leave, handling onboarding and office management. In the past year, Ella’s role expanded further to include internal branding, marketing, and Talent Acquisition. With her deep business knowledge, she's now finding our next generation of recruiters.
