About us
Innovate Recycle are a UK based manufacturer of recycled PP. This material is extracted from end-of-life carpet. Approximately 500,000 tonnes of end-of-life carpet are produced in the UK every year. The majority is currently either burnt for energy or sent to landfill. Innovate Recycle are creating a solution to this environmental problem with the ultimate intention of significantly reducing burnt and buried carpet; and increasing the amount of reclaimed polypropylene. Innovate Recycle are using proven technology from the US and EU countries to create the first plant in Northampton, England which will enable the business to support, enable and advise carpet manufacturers on how to create a more sustainable material benefiting their business. This resource will enable the forward sale of the repurposed material and will have a recycling system that in a single process line is able to convert c6,637 tonnes pa of carpet material per 8 hour shift. We are part of the recycling revolution, creating sustainable material and helping to resolve the problem of how to handle end-of-life carpet in the UK.

The end of another busy yet fruitful week at Innovate Recycle, the main headlines; Continuous sales of our Norplas25 polypropylene pellets, and discussions of returning products made from our pellets to shelves of national retailers! The senior management team have finalised a deal for 100's of tonnes of carpet material, while opening 16 new carpet supply accounts over the last 7 weeks, saving the new account holder £1000's on disposal costs. Yesterday 48 tonne of clean target carpet material delivered in one day with more following next week. Extruder operatives, increased and maintained production to 1400kg / 1500kg per hour, smashing all exceptions, well done team! A local trial for waste carpet in a bag gaining national interest from small to large carpet retailer and carpet fitter. And, to round the week off a fantastic meeting of the minds yesterday between Carpet Recycling UK and Innovate Recycle facilitated by our friends DESIGNER CONTRACTS LIMITED at their HQ, a very productive 2 hour long meeting with all things carpet discussed, watch this space!
