ABOUT THE VENUE | 229, LONDON 229 is in the heart of London and has a rich history supporting grassroots music and emerging artists from across the country. 299 is a venue with values, 100% of their profits go back to supporting students of low socioeconomic backgrounds through their umbrella charity, International Students House. Making education available to all is something that runs parallel to the ISM particularly in regards to music education and one of the many reasons we were excited to host the event at 229. Fun fact 💭 In 2008, Island Records showcased Florence and the Machine in the smaller Venue 2; a year later, she won her first Brit Award.
