About us

IEBA is the world's leading association providing education, information and professional development opportunities in the constantly evolving world of International Employee Benefits. We have over 800 members, including nominated employees of our corporate members (all of whose employees are entitled to the benefits of membership). In addition to the development of the International Diploma and the Certified Practitioner Accreditation, our objectives include facilitating the exchange of information between its members on matters relating to international employee benefits. Our members come together to learn and to discuss issues relating to international benefits with one another at our Annual Conference and at our events in the various countries where local IEBA branches operate. Membership, providing access to IEBA events, is open to anyone with an interest in international employee benefits, regardless of country of residence. Membership runs for a year from 1 July, and is free for those studying for the Diploma and €95 (or £75 or CHF130 depending on country of residence) for individuals otherwise. Corporate membership is also available. A Members' Area of this website provides access to our new Digital Library of past presentations at events and past issues of IEBA News, Food for Thought and Benefits & Compensation International. Material in the Digital Library can only be viewed and downloaded if users are logged in as an IEBA member, providing further added value to the advantages of IEBA membership. The conference will be preceded on the Tuesday afternoon by an optional "Introduction to Insured Employee Benefits" training session for those who are new to the subject (and which can be booked independently from the main conference), and an optional "EU Pay Transparency Directive" focus session for more experienced delegates. This year, we are adding a special set of breakout sessions focusing on innovation and new technologies. In total, we will be offering five groups of three breakout sessions each, and will be welcoming about 50 speakers to our conference. We are again offering a Conference Package to include two nights' hotel accommodation on 3 and 4 June, at the following rates thanks to the kind contribution of our sponsors: EUR 990 : Corporate delegates (i.e. people who are responsible for the employee benefits of their organisation's own employees) EUR 1250 : Others (including people from insurance companies, consultants, brokers, and other providers of services to employers) The price includes two nights in the hotel, all meals, all presentations including the pre-conference sessions on 3 June, and the Gala Dinner on 4 June. If you would like to attend the Conference but do not plan to stay in the conference hotel, the above rates are reduced by EUR 190 per night.   If you or your colleagues would just like to attend the "Introduction to Insured Employee Benefits" training session and not the rest of the conference, there is a fee of EUR 150, and you are cordially invited to the welcome reception afterwards. For full details go to https://lnkd.in/ev8r6mJh   The provisional programme is at https://lnkd.in/eD7mwvXy. Registration is now open at iebaconference.com for corporate delegates. We will open it to others during March. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Brussels!   Kind regards   The IEBA Committee

  • Meaningful and inspiring afternoon about Mental Illness Prevention and wellbeing benefits   Tuesday this week, IEBA Denmark – and kindly hosted by Danica in their fantastic new HQ – held yet another successful event with “full house” in the conference room, while even more people attending online. Fantastic to see how industry colleagues from corporates, insurers, broker can learn from each other to the benefit of what IEBA is about – improving people benefits for corporates, while also educating risk benefit professionals of tomorrow 😊   Key highlights from the event: - Industry Insights: Leaders from Danica, Aon, @howdy, and MAXIS Global Benefits Network shared great insights and learnings, providing a wider understanding of why the outlook of medical inflation and mental illnesses is key to understand to act on. Preventive measures have never been more important, Danica having a well-developed solution for the Danish market. - Pros and cons of implementing global Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) easier than you think ! - The positive effect of tailormade and more often check-ins to take care of employee mental health - Case stories from A.P. Moller - Maersk (online) and SAS - Insigths into the disproportionate effect of delayed cancer diagnoses on women – and in general the gender healthcare biases (watch out, you will be swamped with information the coming years) - Networking and Collaboration: The event offered, as always with IEBA, a unique opportunity for professionals from various industries to connect, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. Thanks to the delegation and all speakers for the insightful event!   Read more about our annual conference coming up June 3-5 IEBA - https://lnkd.in/dugSRKcW Jens Runing Ida Gaarde Andersen Rikke Nøglebæk Linda Beavis Gunnar Brabrand Ylva Zachrisson Eva Rasmussen Barr Dana J. Don’t miss this great opportunity to look into the future of Employee Benefits Management !

Swiss Branch event - AI and Tech in Employee Benefits - April 7 Join us for a participative session hosted by Swiss Life in Zurich, to share and learn how technology, especially AI, can and must transform how employee benefits are provided, managed and delivered. Guest speakers will cover topics appealing to our broad spectrum of members: - Jean-Philippe Provost of Fidelity International invites us to discuss, share best practices and explore how technology-powered solutions can transform the way multinational organizations manage and administer their benefits on a global scale, to drive transparency, efficiency and smarter decision-making - Michael Hansen and Danira Menai of Swiss Life will share some of the challenges posed to the insurance industry in meeting the needs of tech-savvy Gen Z and Alphas, and will be joined by a Zurich-based “early investor” who will compare and contrast changes to the financial services and insurance industries by Fintech and Insurtech startups. We will then be joined by a startup to learn how AI can enable awareness and access to employee benefits as a “second brain”. - Laura GRASSART of Roche will share a corporate perspective on the opportunities to leverage AI to deliver insights and efficiency, in view of the complexity and ever-increasing reporting demands of employee benefits The event is in-person only as it is not possible to dial in. Yesterday, IEBA (International Employee Benefits Association) Germany was overwhelmed to welcome about 80 participants to the first hybrid event of this year at Fidelity International in the lovely Villa Mumm in Kronberg. After a quick introduction about what Fidelity International focusses on, Muriel Petersilie and Valerie Huth guided us through the wonderful park of Villa Mumm. Lucky us that Sahara dust was announced for the next day – we could enjoy the great view on the skyline of Frankfurt. This time IEBA Germany focused on #pension and #insurance. A big thank you to Dejan Malesic, Global Executive MBA sharing insights on practical GenAI in the #Pensions & #Insurance industry. Furthermore thanks a lot to Claudia Wegner-Wahnschaffe from VBL. Versorgungsanstalt des Bundes und der Länder, delivering us with interesting information about ETS European Tracking System of Pensions. Songuel Saglik from Bosch shared great insights of Bosch’s #digitalpension strategy so that together with Peter L Devlin from Deloitte and Claudia Wegner-Wahnschaffe, I was pleased to chair a panel about how employers and pension providers can profit from ETS. Finally we had the great honor to finish our meeting with our IEBA colleagues from the US: Mark Horbag from Lockton presented together with Peter Devlin the cultural and general differences between USA and Germany. Craig Dandrow from Lockton gave us finally a very detailed overview of the US medical benefits. A big thank you to my organization team who supported me in making this great event happen: especially Valerie Huth, Muriel Petersilie, Norman Dreger. A very special thank you to the excellent technicians Alexander Pommerehnck and Kjell Raaz you made the event for all remote participants, remote speakers and the audience in the Villa Mumm happen without any technical problems. Imagine – we had one screen for reading our presentation on the floor, one in the background for the audience and a separate one for just seeing the remote speakers. Wow! The applause is yours! So everyone should stay tuned for the next meeting in July at Siemens Healthineers in Erlangen! Your chairperson Kerstin Schleifnik

Next time it will be in English again!
