It was great to attend Advanced Therapies in London last week. The CGT community is resilient and despite the challenges in the last couple of years, I sensed optimism and enthusiasm! Here are my 3 key takeaways: ▶️ Innovation in the CGT space remains important but needs to be channeled and positioned to alleviate the manufacturing challenges. There is resolute focus on data driven manufacturing with automation, AI, ML and other digital tools. ▶️Autologous therapies, especially CAR-Ts are curative and here to stay – so let’s focus on COGs, access and regulatory convergence. ▶️Investment is slowly coming back, but its competitive and investors are looking for assets that have cleared a few fundamental hurdles and are in or close to clinical trials.
