Welcome to our Team Member Spotlight series! 🎉 Each feature will showcase the incredible people who make GOALS successful. 👏 This time, we welcome Emma, General Manager of GOALS Coventry. "I started working for GOALS just over 10 years ago at the club in Coventry.   10 years ago, I started as an 'all-rounder' doing bits and pieces from maintenance, bar, reception and being a General Assistant outside on League nights. Fast forward 9 years, climbing through the ranks, I am now the proud General Manager of the Coventry Club.    In the past 5 years in Goals, with a lot of business change, I saw my career really take off, and I got involved in many different departments and projects. I became a support for Marketing, Learning & Development and also recently became part of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee. This has allowed me to take part in national campaigns, company development and support the Midlands region.    With many projects underway, I am excited to see what 2025 brings after a record year in 2024. Watch this space 👀"

  • This letter stopped us in our tracks. A parent wrote to thank us after their kids attended our Easter HAF Camp — and their words say it all. Living with PTSD, they shared how hard it’s been to trust new settings. But at our camp, they felt safe. The team welcomed them, supported their children, and helped rebuild their confidence. “It’s made a genuine difference — not just to the children, but to the wellbeing of the whole family.” That’s why we do it. A huge thank you to the local councils and government partners for making these moments possible. *Permission by this parent for sharing was granted. Name has been removed to protect their privacy.

  • Welcome to our Team Member Spotlight series! 🎉 Each feature will showcase the incredible people who make GOALS successful. 👏 This time, we welcome Brian, General Manager of GOALS Aberdeen. "Coming up to the tenth anniversary of joining GOALS as General Manager in Aberdeen. I had been involved with Cove Youth FC as a coach and team secretary for about five years when the opportunity came up. I remember meeting with Adam and Kirk, thinking they were nice guys. We sat and spoke about football and business. I left thinking that it either went well or I had completely blown it, thankfully, it was the former. It was the ideal opportunity to combine a passionate hobby and a job. When I go home after organising the best five aside leagues for our local adult's I open my laptop and do the same for the kids all over the North East of Scotland. The ultimate in job satisfaction is to see so many kids playing football with a smile on their faces and knowing that my role at GOALS and ADJFA made it happen. I enjoy being involved in the development of some of the younger managers in the business. Experience cannot be taught, but it can be passed on. Most of my team in Aberdeen I have met through football, all good people who share the same passion to get people playing. Helping improve fitness, mental health, but most of all enjoying the game. Happy to be in a job that does not always feel like work, and with a great company with team values that I will probably retire from." #AcceptNoSubstitutes #EmployeeSpotLight

The world of small-sided football has been forever transformed. The next generation of players craves diverse ways to experience the game. Enter Lasse Lehmann and Baller League – true game-changers that we at GOALS are incredibly proud to collaborate with. Baller League has rapidly become the only game in town, showcasing the excitement of 3 v 3 and 1 v 1 challenges, all broadcast live on Sky Sports. ⚽️🔥 The FA has also stepped forward with its innovative "Future Fit" initiative, emphasising the benefits of small-sided games, particularly 3 v 3. A significant shift in how the game is played and understood! ✅✅✅ And then there’s Manuel Silva Francisco Silva and the incredible Top Baller, the world’s leading influencers in 1 v 1 football. What started in Alperton, Wembley, has exploded into a global phenomenon, now partnered with top-tier brands and making waves across the world. ⭐️👏👏👏 We are beyond excited to be working alongside them all to revolutionise and grow the game of football. 🤜🤛 That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Top Baller for the National Schools Engagement program. This initiative gives secondary school students free access to our pitches, where Top Baller will bring their magic – at no cost – during the school term. Together, we’re offering these young people a platform that has already generated tens of millions of views globally. It’s a perfect blend of community-first values, and we couldn’t be prouder of the impact we’re making. ❤️ The small-sided game just got smaller... by becoming so much bigger. ⚽️⭐️🎥

  • We're excited to launch our Team Member Spotlight series! 🎉 Each feature will shine a light on the incredible people who make GOALS a success. 👏 In our very first edition, we welcome Charlotte. "I started at Goals in 2022 as General Manager of the Dartford club. Since then, I've worked to improve the club for our staff and customers, enjoying the many opportunities Goals has offered. Over the last three years, I joined the Learning & Development team to share my experiences and support others. Recently, I also became part of the EDI (equality, diversity, and inclusion) team, a role I find very rewarding. I'm proud to contribute to my club, the company, and these teams, and I remain committed to growth and development. I am excited to see what is in store for the rest of 2025 and to see how my contributions will continue to shape the future of our club and company. Reflecting on Progress & Looking Ahead: GOALS’ EDI Committee I had the pleasure of chairing our third Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee Meeting at GOALS - a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come and the impact we continue to make. Over the past three years, we’ve made meaningful strides: ✅ Updated Policies – Strengthening our commitment with enhanced EDI, Safer Spaces, and Hate & Crime policies. ✅ Increased Training – Empowering our team through The Academy, launched by Kick It Out It Out who we are in close partnership with. ✅ EDI Champions – A dedicated network of team members helping clubs expand their relationships within local communities. ✅ Visability - increased banners and posters at all clubs with QR codes which allow an easy way to report discrimination. ✅ Reporting - our incident reporting systems have been enhanced to include protected characteristics. As we look to the future, our latest discussions focused on how we can push forward even further. Key areas included: ➡️ Expanding Multi-Faith Spaces – Ensuring inclusive facilities across all clubs. ➡️ Consistent Messaging – Strengthening the visibility and impact of our EDI initiatives. ➡️ Growth of PECS & HAF Programmes – Building on the success of our HAF programme, which has already supported over 4,000 families in the last year. ➡️ Support for Team Members with Disabilities – Enhancing resources and accessibility. ➡️ Launching a GOALS Podcast – Providing a platform to spotlight important EDI conversations. ➡️ Exploring Neurodiversity – Finding ways to support our diverse workforce even more effectively. ➡️ Committee Representation – Ensuring diverse voices from all backgrounds shape our direction. This meeting reaffirmed our commitment to action—not just talking about change, but embedding it into everything we do. A huge thank you to everyone involved.
