🌟 Key takeaways: Women in the Boardroom – Accelerate Action 🌟 Last week, we attended the Insurance Insider and EY joint event, "Women in the Boardroom – Accelerate Action". The event opened up discussions on the representation of women on boards and pathways to get there. The discussions were incredibly insightful, focusing on essential skills and strategies for women in leadership. Thank you to all the speakers and organisers for an inspiring event which was excellently moderated by Rachel Dalton. Let's continue to talk about creating pathways and providing support to empower women in leadership positions. Mark Lomas, Chartered FCIPD Sheila Cameron #GenderInclusion #WomenInLeadership

What a great initiative, let's find diverse talent in our industry by visiting this snazzy #JobsBoard by Link: LGBTQ+ Insurance Network ✏️🗒️
The Link: LGBTQ+ Insurance Network #JobsBoard is here and ready to use! What is it? The culmination of months of preparation, research and iteration, the Jobs Board automatically captures and shares all live #job #postings from our #sponsor and network companies with our thousands of Link members across the UK and North America. It’s designed to help #sponsors connect top experienced and up-and-coming #LGBTQ+ industry #talent with the companies most #committed to #DEI / #EDI and helping the LGBTQ+ community to thrive. It’s one of the ways we’re looking to make the insurance industry the employer of choice for the LGBTQ+ community. For Link members, LGBTQ+ talent, and allies to whom DEI is important, they have a place where they know only those industry firms most committed to #diversity and #inclusion are included. Our sponsors get access to a pool of more diverse and skilled LGBTQ+ talent that they may otherwise struggle to attract. It’s win-win-win – for firms, for talent, and for diversity itself! So check out our new look Jobs Board right here: https://lnkd.in/edvqPUh8 Spread the word to your LGBTQ+ friends and colleagues – and allies – by #liking, #commenting, and #reposting! 🍿 Grab the popcorn, have tissues at the ready... because you can now watch our ElevateHER: From glass ceilings to open doors, full event recording 👉 https://lnkd.in/eFHy9NSG We believe this film has the potential to inspire future generations through the actions we take today, so enjoy sharing it with your colleagues, allies, friends and families 💜 Reframing the voice of doubt, by Kirat Kaur Nandra MICM (Grad) A whisper lingers in my mind, A fleeting doubt, a tie that binds. It murmurs low, “You don’t belong,” A tired, familiar, faulty song. But what if doubt is not my foe, Not chains to hold, but space to grow. A nudge to stretch, to rise, to learn, A spark within that dares to burn. For every step I claim my place, I shape the path, I set the pace. Not perfect - no - but real and alive, Not here to prove, but to arrive. So, when that voice returns once more, I’ll nod, then walk right through that door. Not held by fear, but standing tall. Because, I was meant to be here, after all. Wow. Where to begin on reflections and a wrap up? We’re left feeling empowered and emotionally moved, which was echoed by our audience.💜 As we consider the messages over the coming days, in the lead up to International Women’s Day on 8 March, let’s take stock of how we can all become allies, drive conversations and champion change. Where barriers need to be broken, glass ceilings shattered, and imposter syndrome relabelled. We’d love to hear your key takeaways in the comments, but for now: 💡’Not when, but how? Less chat, more action.’ 💡’How do we get more men in the room?’ ‘Bring a +1’ 💡’Think of the 365 days in a year, not these one day panels. What’s going on under the surface?’ 💡’Don’t be afraid to be the first. That’s the best PR you can do for yourself!’ 💡’Your network is your net worth.’ 💡’Take the risks. Push the barriers and ceilings to get to where you need to be.’ 💡 ‘What does success mean to you? It doesn’t always mean climbing higher.’ Keep your eyes peeled as the full event recording will be available soon if you missed it 🎥 Lloyd's Anna Whitehouse Samantha Lydon (Ridgewell) Lisa Skinner Kirat Kaur Nandra MICM (Grad) Michelle Edwards(Chart.MCIPD) Nick Line Mark Lomas, Chartered FCIPD Frederica Moore Rebecca Smith Lily Newman-Kelly Jaycee Rigden Monica Stancu
