A new survey has revealed that 59% of Brits don’t know what the ‘third’ or electric rail is and 39% believe that electrocution from rail tracks can hurt but won’t cause serious injury. A bit of variety and in a first for me, I was called in at the 11th hour to cover the Caledonian Sleeper desk, which I thoroughly enjoyed. If you had told 15 year old me, getting up at 0500 to go to Nuneaton station to photograph 90037 on 1M16, that in the future I’d be sat on the control desk for it for a job, I’d have laughed and never believed it.
