We're proud to be supporting Project Daisy, an inspiring new initiative from our Executive Chairman, Olly Olsen, helping to bridge the gap between education and the world of work. The project kicks off this week in our brand-new workspace, The Jellicoe - a space designed to inspire bold ideas and future-thinking. #TheJellicoe #FutureOfWork
The world is changing faster than ever. Especially for young people facing the prospect of working in it. Enter Project Daisy, a brand new initiative to help young people bridge the ever-widening gap between classroom and workplace. So that when they finish studying, they’re ready for work. Project Daisy will span the pivotal years from A-levels (or equivalent) through to the completion of university or college. Providing a world-class ‘work environment’ in which to study and revise while introducing young people to the exciting world of work. Giving them an inspiring insight into where academic effort can lead. And today is Project Launch Day – Daisy Day. It all kicks off with our first A-level revision week for our first intake. We’re at The Jellicoe Building in King’s Cross, for which we’re indebted to Fora. (It’s not just any workspace but the newest, most exciting one in their portfolio.) And we’re not simply giving our students a world-class place in which to revise (complete with tutors from Renewed Learning). We’re giving them a glimpse of the wonderful places where hard work now can lead, with the help of a stellar line-up of businesses and organisations that share our views. So, to Brockton Everlast, Blackstone, Related Argent, KX Recruit, Deezer, The Mayor's Fund for London, Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA), Too Good To Go, PANGAIA, LALIGA, Kitt Medical and OpenAI, a huge THANK YOU. And a special thanks to Samsung Electronics, who are generously providing laptops for students without them. Likewise, to the more than 25 schools from across London that are sending their students. These first two revision weeks (April 7 & April 14) are only just the beginning. Don’t worry if you aren’t part of Project Daisy yet. You can get involved right now. The more of you on the journey, the more young people we’ll help bridge that gap. #ProjectDaisy #ExamReady #FutureOfWork #WorkReady #CareerOpportunities #StudentSuccess #CareerPathways #StudyMotivation
