We are pleased to announce that we have been voted as Europe’s number one FBO in the 2025 Professional Pilot magazine PRASE Survey, our 18th year in the top spot. Being recognised as the number one FBO by aviation professionals is a testament to the service, customer care and investment in our facilities. This award follows recent news of our number one position in the Aviation International News (AIN) FBO Survey, securing our status as the leading FBO in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia for the 19th consecutive year. We’d like to extend our appreciation to those who participated in the survey. To read more, visit https://lnkd.in/eJ7MZjg6

Today we were pleased to welcome the Fleet branch of u3a, a UK-wide movement encouraging individuals to explore new ideas, skills and interests within the local area. Improving community wellbeing is a key focus of our community engagement plan. That’s why we were proud to host u3a, and showcase how we operate at Farnborough Airport.

Today, we welcomed Fleet Lions for a tour of the Airport. Like the Lions, we want to work together with our community for a better future. During their visit, we had the opportunity to talk about our work to help raise aspirations in the area, as well as how we operate as a business aviation airport.

We are now halfway through our inaugural training course, the Farnborough Airport Professional Certificate in Airport Operations developed in partnership with Farnborough College of Technology. Our students have been studying at the College and have had hands on learning from a variety of departments at the Airport. From apron inspections and walking through our hangars to identify potential hazards with our Safety team, to practicing marshalling with our Ground Handling team, the students are seeing every aspect of the day to day running of an airport. The students have visited many areas on site, including the fuel farm, our facilities in the terminal, and have had face to face leaning with our Customer Service team to understand the level of service we offer to all passengers and crew at Farnborough Airport. We look forward to seeing the students develop in the second half of the course and can’t wait to see what they’re up to next!

In the last 10 years, the Farnborough Airport Community Environmental Fund has donated approximately £600k across 92 projects. Last night, we took a moment to celebrate this with local organisations and charities who have benefited from the Fund. It was great to learn about the positive impact that the funding has had on the community. It was a fantastic occasion, and we enjoyed hearing about the work so many people are doing to help and support others in Rushmoor and the surrounding area. Together with our community we want to build a better future, and the Farnborough Airport Community Environmental Fund is just one example of this. We look forward to continuing to work with Rushmoor Borough Council and see the Fund support more local projects that enhance our environment and community in the years to come.

Maintaining, improving and restoring our local area is a big part of our community engagement strategy. With that in mind, it was great to join our colleagues at Aviator Hampshire yesterday as part of the Great British Spring Clean 2025. A team from Aviator and Farnborough Airport worked together to support the Rushmoor Binfluencers, a local group set up by Rushmoor Borough Council to help keep the Borough clean. A big well done to our volunteers for doing their bit to keep Trenchard Way and Rae Road in Farnborough clean and tidy, collecting a total of 26 bags of litter in the process!
💪🌍🌿 Spring into Action! 🌿 💪🌍 This morning, the teams from Aviator Hampshire, The Swan, Farnborough, and Farnborough Airport joined forces for a community litter pick as part of the Great British Spring Clean 2025 - and what a difference an hour can make! Together, we collected 25 bags of rubbish from the Farnborough area, helping to make our local surroundings cleaner, greener, and more welcoming for everyone. A big thank you to The Rushmoor Borough Council Binfluencers for partnering with us and to every colleague who took time out of their day to give back to our community. It’s amazing what we can achieve when we come together with purpose 💪🌍 #GreatBritishSpringClean #TeamWork #CommunityMatters #Farnborough #Sustainability #AviatorFarnborough #TheSwan #FarnboroughAirport #RushmoorBinfluencers #GiveBack

We want to capture the imagination of young people in the community when it comes to careers. Yesterday, we did so by inviting students from Bohunt Farnborough School to see the variety of careers at Farnborough Airport and our neighbours Farnborough International. Thanks to Hampshire Careers Hub for supporting the occasion.
Wow, what an amazing afternoon spent at Farnborough Airport and Farnborough International film studios. Students from Bohunt Farnborough school learnt about the many different #careers at both sites. Plenty of questions were asked and plenty of interest sparked. Thank you Mark Sanderson , Lewis Jeffery , Rachel Morrison and Simone Dixon for organising such a fantastic afternoon for our young people and an experience they will never forget. If you have a business you'd like to showcase to our young people, the future workforce, then please get in touch with me. #futurecareers #experiencesoftheworkplace Sue Murdoch Hampshire Careers Hub The Careers & Enterprise Company Bohunt Education Trust Megan Low Naomi Attrill Shirley Ducker Lisa Fox Katie B.
