Come and join the End Furniture Poverty team!

We want to explore how much support there is for survivors of domestic abuse with furniture and appliance provision. Too many are being moved into empty boxes rather than furnished homes, putting them at risk of returning to perpetrators or living without basic essentials. So we need the evidence to show the level of need. If you work in any VAWG-related field, please completed our survey. We worked closely with ITV news to help them to put together this package, highlighting the reality of living in furniture poverty and the impact it can have on families, particularly children. The bare dirty floorboards of the uncarpeted properties aren’t the focus, it’s mainly about children’s beds, but they are so stark and bleak! It was great hear our call for 10% of social homes to be furnished on national TV news and to hear that the Government’s response wasn’t a dismissal too! #MakeaHouseaHome https://lnkd.in/eUcVfa_A
