The Army Officer Selection Board unveils the AOSB Assessor Award. The Army Officer Selection Board (AOSB) has implemented a groundbreaking new award scheme in partnership with CDS Defence and Security. The assessor award recognises the complexity of skills and understanding demanded by the assessors leading the officer training programs at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and recognises them for their excellence. First, to understand the assessors' role requirements, CDS DS implemented an extensive competency mapping exercise. The resulting frameworks were then carefully analysed and developed into a suite of OFQUAL-approved awards to be given to new assessors upon completion of their training. Colonel Iain Moodie, President of AOSB, says: 'The AOSB Level 6 Diploma in the Assessment of Potential and Peer Mentoring recognises the ability and the skills required of our assessors to consistently conduct high-quality assessment to maintain the standards that we are known for and that the Army expects of us'.
