Accelerated Materials (AM), next-generation material synthesis platform, has received inaugural investment from UntroD Capital Asia’s Global Fund 2. We're proud to have co-invested in this seed round, led by UntroD, and alongside Singapore government-backed Deep Tech Investor, SGInnovate. “We are excited to contribute to the groundbreaking advancements that Accelerated Materials is carrying out in material discovery and manufacturing. Their innovative approach is set to revolutionise the industry by shortening the R&D and scale-up cycles. We look forward to seeing the impact of this transformative technology.” says Investment Director, Chris Gibbs. Operating in both Singapore and the UK, AM scaled-up its platform with the support from the National Research Foundation Singapore’s Central Gap Fund and the Cambridge CARES, in collaboration with NTUitive. This latest funding will support further development of AM’s hardware and software platforms while expanding the company’s reach across global markets. Early detection of Alzheimer's Disease is crucial for timely intervention. Cambridge Vision Technology (CVT) is advancing a solution with its AI-driven retinal imaging technology. Using a simple eye test, CVT's novel approach uses AI to analyse retinal images, identifying subtle biomarkers of Alzheimer's at its earliest stages, even before symptoms appear. This non-invasive method makes early detection more accessible and consistent, paving the way for better disease management. Co-founded by Dr Andrew Kadis and James Wood, CVT graduated from the Founders at the University of Cambridge's START 1.0 accelerator programme last year and secured a contract with the UK government.
