The buildingSMART International Summit has concluded - a huge thanks to everyone who made it another great success and to everyone that contributed to the event. This global event connects an industry striving to make openBIM usable, available and supportive for end-users. This really will be the year of openBIM! Some of the major themes of this week and discussions included: - The value of mandates, regulations or policies using openBIM - The importance of Chapters and the impact they can have - What openBIM can do for you - Communicating that interoperability has no version number - Demonstrating value through examples - The significance of Ministerial endorsements - And, of course, networking and collaborating which form the basis for developing and maintaining standards We hope to see you in Berlin in September with the theme of openBIM - Better Together!

Day Two of the buildingSMART International Summit is underway in Singapore with various sessions taking place. These sessions include the various Domains, Professional Certification crash course and exams and panel discussions and more! Some highlights from yesterday include: - A welcome address from Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Digital Development and Information - Clear Priorities outlined by Jaan Saar - A welcome from co-organizers buildingSMART Singapore and our co-location with BuildTech Asia, with thanks to Paul Lee, David Lim, Eugene Seah - An explanation of the openBIM workflow with Artur Tomczak, Evandro Alfieri, Léon van Berlo and Céline Bent with special thanks to Ole Berard, Arisca Droog, Tarmo Savolainen - An MoU signed with Women in BIM - The topic of "mandating openBIM" with Eric Bugeja Ratnakar Garikipati Anna Rydzy Yoshinobu Adachi Stefan Reiser - A session on how to collaborate and inspire with Zarina Kabzhan Renee Jain Siti Sabariah Norman Rassida R Simmi George Aye Su Mon We thank everyone who contributed and we look forward to an exciting day ahead!
