The Creator Fund was born from BDB and FiveTwoNine's shared mission: to find impactful ways to support creators, especially when it comes to career-defining opportunities. We're kicking things off with Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity - the industry's premier global stage - because it’s where creators can connect with brand leaders, platforms, and decision-makers. Getting to Cannes Lions is one thing. Knowing where to go and who to meet is another. That’s why we’re providing support through exclusive programming and events, so creators don’t only get to attend but also have the connections to make their trip a success. Curious to learn more? Are influencers too influential? That’s the debate our Europe CEO Thomas Walters tackled at Advertising Week alongside Rahul Titus, Omar Oakes, Sabrina Francis, and Suzanne Barker. Thom’s take? Today’s consumers don’t want one-size-fits-all brand messaging cut down into multiple formats. They want nuance, relevance and value when they engage in advertising. We’re in an era of bespoke advertising where people reward personalization with their attention. The world's biggest brands like L'Oréal and Unilever just announced major marketing restructures to reflect this shift. Creators are cultural engineers. They spark conversations, drive discovery, and convert interest into action - and that’s exactly why brands are going all in. Thank you to the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) for having us. #AdvertisingWeek #CreatorEconomy #Advertising

Billion Dollar Boy and FiveTwoNine are proud to jointly launch The Creator Fund, a new grant designed to support creators in attending major creative and advertising events. First stop: Cannes Lions, in official partnership with Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Financial limitations shouldn’t hold back creative talent and we want to empower emerging creators to attend Cannes Lions. Creators drive culture. Creators are waking up to the power of LinkedIn. Yesterday, I had the chance to speak at an event with some of the UK’s biggest creators, and one thing is clear: LinkedIn is becoming an essential part of their strategy. For years, creators have focused on platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok to build their brands. But now, they’re realizing that LinkedIn isn’t just for corporate professionals. It’s a platform where real business happens, where partnerships are formed, and where career-defining opportunities emerge. I’ve seen firsthand how creators who start posting on LinkedIn unlock: ✅ Brand deals with companies looking for industry thought leaders ✅ Speaking gigs and consulting opportunities ✅ Deeper, more meaningful engagement with their audiences ✅ A platform where content has a longer shelf life.. staying relevant for weeks, not hours The best part? You don’t need to change who you are. You just need to adapt your storytelling to fit the audience here. A huge thanks to Sophie and the wider FiveTwoNine & Billion Dollar Boy for having me! And a huge shoutout to: Gabriel, Lily, Millie, Hannah, Keith, Justin K, Gabriel, Kristabel, Tasha, Olivia, Angee and Victoria. Watch this space!

How do creator partnerships go beyond awareness and conversions to fuel brand advocacy? Today’s consumers aren’t just buying products, they’re aligning with brands that reflect their values and aspirations. "Creators serve as cultural translators, helping brands earn their place in hard-to-reach online communities. They bring credibility, foster emotional connections, and ultimately, turn audiences into brand advocates," says BDB CMO, Becky Owen.
