🌍 From pioneering carbon capture to European recognition – Belfast-based Nuada is making significant progress with its plans to accelerate industrial decarbonisation.   Since BGF’s investment in 2023, Nuada has:   ✅ Tripled the size of its team to 42 ✅ Opened a purpose-built 18,000 sq. ft manufacturing and development facility in Newtownabbey, Belfast ✅ Delivered carbon capture plants on the ground at industrial sites across Europe ✅ Formed new partnerships with global cement, lime and energy-from-waste leaders   Now, Nuada has secured €4.7m in EU funding — including €2.5m from the EIC - European Innovation Council Accelerator – becoming the first Northern Irish company to receive this prestigious award.   This is another strong endorsement of Nuada’s next-gen technology and its potential to transform carbon capture economics in hard-to-abate industries.   We’re proud to back Jose Casaban, Conor Hamill and the team on this ambitious journey.   Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e39V_hAb   #ClimateTech #NetZero #CarbonCapture #Cleantech #BGF #ScaleUp

📢We’ve led a £9m investment in Sheffield-based Phlux Technology, whose infrared sensors are set to redefine optical communications and advanced sensing. Boosting data transmission speeds by up to five times, Phlux’s technology will enable the next generation of internet connectivity, with data rates as high as 50 gigabits per second.
