Ahead In Sport are at the forefront of football and wider sport-related education and training programmes. Working globally with organisations and academic institutions, we provide industry expertise and support curriculum development to create unique and innovative programmes, including the award-winning BSc(Hons) in Applied Football Studies, a 3 year full-time undergraduate online degree and 'Understanding the Sporting Director' a series of short-courses developed in partnership with the Association of Sporting Directors. September 2023 sees the launch of our newest online programme, BSc(Hons) Football Industry, to be delivered in partnership with UCEN Manchester and Sheffield Hallam University. In addition. our staff continue to provide external support to numerous football industry organisations and education providers including FIFA, the Football Association, Football Association of Wales, EFL, the Association of Sporting Directors, the Steven Gerrard Academy and Pearson.

Our second year student Charlie Gresham reflects on his experiences coaching in Bahrain for the Steven Gerrard Aacademy last week. Charlie's journey since joining our BSc(Hons) Football Industry has been amazing to see. Within 18 months Charlie has progressed from finding his feet as a degree level student to successfully studying whilst working full-time as a Coach and Lecturer at the Academy. We pride ourselves on mentoring our students on their journey and providing wraparound support for them to help them to navigate and achieve their potential. Being part of their journey is a privilege and being able to share such amazing stories of how they are progressing is just brilliant! Last month, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to the Middle East for the first time with the Steven Gerrard Academy. Surrounded by elite coaches, I was invited to showcase my skills and delivered a series of quality sessions over a week-long football camp at top facilities in Bahrain. Beyond the great work experience, we were also fortunate to attend an Al-Ettifaq match in Dammam, gaining valuable insights into the rapidly growing Saudi Pro League. I am extremely thankful for the warm hospitality and organisation from family, friends and staff, but also very grateful for the trust put in me by the Academy’s coaching team.
