Dear network, I wanted to highlight the incredible work of the The 10,000 Interns Foundation, which is tackling the underrepresentation of Black talent in the UK workforce through its transformative internship programme: 10,000 Black Interns. In just 4 years, the programme has created opportunities for over 7,000 interns. Their mission is simple yet powerful: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. With the Target Malaria communications team, we have partnered for the last three years with 10,000 Black Interns. We had the privilege to work with Stella Attah and Zainab Shire, our past 2 interns. This year, we have already recruited not 1 but 2 summer interns! Now, The 10,000 Interns Foundation is looking for more organisations to join the movement and offer a paid internship this Summer. I’m excited to share that I’ll be joining Lloyds Banking Group this summer for a summer internship! This incredible opportunity will allow me to develop my skills, gain hands-on experience, and work alongside professionals in the industry. I am pleased to announce that I have accepted an offer from Hill Dickinson LLP for a 6 week summer internship at their London Office. I am grateful to members of the team for their support throughout the application process and for being so welcoming. Today, I attended an online session called Introduction to Man Group, hosted by Chris Pyper, Managing Director and Head of Business Management at Man Group, through 10,000 Black Interns. The session provided valuable insights into Man Group’s operations, investment strategies, and company culture. Chris Pyper’s perspective on leadership and business management was particularly insightful, shedding light on the dynamic nature of the asset management industry. It was a great opportunity to learn more about the firm and gain a deeper understanding of the skills required to succeed in the sector.

Alhamdulillah! 🙌🏾 Excited to share that I’ve secured a 12-week summer internship at IHG Hotels & Resorts through the 10,000 Black Interns program. I’ll be joining the Global Corporate Affairs team at a FTSE 100 company, gaining hands-on experience in the world of hospitality. A big thanks to Neil Tilley and the IHG team for their support. I can’t wait to learn, grow, and make the most of this opportunity!
