Set your home, work or school address in Maps on Mac
You can personalise your map by setting your home, work and school addresses, making it easier to get directions to or from those locations.
With macOS Sequoia or later, you can set a home or work address that’s different from the home or work address on your contact card in the Contacts app.
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Do one of the following:
Mark a place on the map: Control-click the location of your home, work or school, then choose Mark Location.
Tip: If the place is named on the map — for example, “Apple Park” — click the label.
Search for a place: Search for the name or address of the location you want to add, then select a result.
Scroll down the place card, then click Pin.
The pin appears below Library in the sidebar.
In the sidebar, hold your pointer over the pin you want to assign to your home, work or school address, then click
.
Below Type, select “My home”, “My work” or “My school”.
To add this address to the Contacts app, select Add to Contact Card.
After you set a pin, you can also adjust the location or remove it.
Note: If you change your home, work or school address after you add it to your contact card, you may need to update your address in Contacts. See Set up your My Card in Contacts.
