Stitch, a South African payments infrastructure company, has raised $55 million in a Series B round, bringing its total funding to $107 million. The round was led by QED Investors, with participation from Flourish Ventures, Norrsken22, Glynn Capital, Ribbit Capital, PayPal Ventures, firstminute capital, and Trevor Noah. Development Partners International (DPI) has launched DPI Venture Capital to invest in early-stage and growth-focused tech startups in Africa. As part of this move, DPI has taken over as investment advisor for Egypt’s Nclude Innovation Fund, which has backed companies like Paymob, Khazna, and FlapKap. Nclude, supported by Banque Misr, National Bank of Egypt, Banque du Caire, e-Finance Investment Group, EBC, and Mastercard, manages $105 million in assets. FSD Africa Investments (FSDAi) is investing $12.5 million into the ARM-Harith Infrastructure Investment Limited to boost climate-resilient infrastructure in Nigeria. The fund, managed by ARM-Harith Infrastructure Investment Limited, aims to attract local pension funds by offering early returns and reducing risk. The (ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) has approved €230 million to support infrastructure and private sector growth across West Africa. Key beneficiaries include Sterling Bank Nigeria, which will receive $50 million for SME support, and Benin Cashew SA, granted €10 million to boost cashew processing in Benin.
