𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲 This two-storey bungalow, featuring an attic and a basement, was constructed on an elevated plot as part of an upgrading project. An open-plan layout, along with full-height sliding glass doors, opens up communal spaces on the first storey. These openings not only facilitate visual connectivity with the outdoors, but also promote passive lighting and ventilation. A suspended staircase with open treads further accentuates the overall sense of spaciousness. The project’s sloped site also plays a key role in enhancing daylighting and natural airflow in the basement, where solar-exposed areas are designated as utility spaces. 𝗔 𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼-𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 This co-living project features an eye-catching yellow cantilevered prefab structure designed to offer an affordable and vibrant communal living experience in urban settings using the Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) method. This modular design approach offers greater cost-effectiveness than traditional methods by facilitating off-site prefabrication of units. It allows for simultaneous fabrication, finishing and site preparation, significantly reducing both material waste and project timelines. As a result, SkyBlox was completed in just eight months. 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲-𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗨𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟯𝗗 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 This award-winning project uses Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) to create a stunning pavilion for newlyweds to celebrate their special moments. By utilising WAAM, a spool of metal wire is fed into an electric arc, where it is melted and deposited layer by layer to create a 3D object. This process enables a fully digitised workflow, facilitating structural calculations and the generation of printing paths directly from a digital model. The pavilion features over 6,400 tubes, 3,200 joining points and 1,300 tips, fabricated in just four months by three eight-axis robotic arms.
