A true pleasure to once again host the Norwegian Shipowners' Association (Norges Rederiforbund)'s Maritime Trainees during their visit to Singapore. Together with the rest of Team Norway, we gave an insight into Norway’s engagement in the global maritime hub, Singapore, and challenged the trainees’ skills set through a practical case assignment. Results were good, and the Norwegian maritime companies are definitely lucky to receive such promising talent The Embassy also hosted a networking reception at the Ambassador’s residence to connect trainees with peers and future partners from Singapore. It is truly inspiring to hear their experiences and the ambitions they carry for their careers in the maritime sector. We are already looking forward to hosting the next cohort of maritime trainees. We are confident these candidates will become valuable contributions to the growth and innovation of the Norwegian and global maritime industry. The Maritime Trainee program is a sought-after trainee programme by the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association designed to attract and develop young talents for the maritime industry. With a combination of academic modules, international exposure, and hands-on experience, the program aims to equip participants with the knowledge, network, and perspective needed to thrive in one of Norway’s most important industries.
