The wildlife parks managed by the Group are accredited by two of the top international regional zoo associations European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, and Zoo and Aquarium Association of Australasia, and the Group is an active member of the Southeast Asian Zoo and Aquarium Association and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Mandai Wildlife Group is committed to the vision of sustainable populations of wildlife and human communities thriving in functioning ecosystems. The Group will contribute by connecting people with wildlife, championing sustainable living, as well as participating in and supporting conservation efforts to safeguard wildlife and their habitats. The actions and contributions of the Mandai family of entities and brands are also aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in their focus to nurture a healthier world. The Group will work with our partners and like-minded collaborators to make a positive impact. The Group provides funding and in-kind support to Mandai Nature for conservation work across Southeast Asia. Mandai X is the growth accelerator and venture building arm of Mandai Wildlife Group that sparks, catalyses, and accelerates innovative ventures in completely new domains that drive growth and impact at scale.

A magni-pheasant learning opportunity! Last month, guests at Bird Paradise got to examine the fascinating world of pheasants, partridges, and their relatives at our Magni-pheasant Discovery Booth. Our keepers and volunteers used interactive games and taxidermised specimens to share the traits and behaviours of these remarkable birds. Our guests were also treated to a special edition of our Keeper Talk at Songs of the Forest aviary where they met our pheasants and gained insights into how we care for them. Bird Paradise is home to a healthy colony of critically endangered Vietnam pheasants. We support conservation work in Vietnam to protect their natural habitats and hope to repatriate some of our birds to support reintroduction efforts in the future. Part of the proceeds from each ticket to our wildlife attractions goes towards the conservation of threatened species like the Vietnam pheasant. With the support of Amazon Web Services (AWS), we launched the Mandai Action for Wildlife Programme with a pilot at Singapore Zoo, bringing together over 150 students and teachers to learn from our wildlife experts about native conservation efforts and how they can make a difference. This programme goes beyond raising awareness, it empowers students to take action! Over the next few months, they will collaborate with Mandai on group projects that support biodiversity and engage their communities. By providing students with the tools and knowledge to make a real impact, this initiative strengthens our commitment to fostering genuine behavioural change for wildlife conservation. This International Bear Day, we're shining the spotlight on the world's smallest bear species—the sun bear! 🌞🐻 Though small in stature, these rainforest dwellers are among the fiercest animals in Southeast Asia. Their golden crescent-shaped chest markings are as unique as a fingerprint, making each bear one of a kind. Spot these elusive creatures at the Watering Hole zone in Rainforest Wild ASIA, a habitat designed to encourage their natural behaviours. But in the wild, their survival is at risk. Listed as Vulnerable under the IUCN Red List, sun bears face threats from habitat loss and the illegal pet trade.
