Strengthening Collaboration and Scaling Impact in Southeast Asia Last week, we welcomed Frank Lacroix, EVP of our Global Business Unit Local Energy Infrastructures (LEI), and Pierre Cheyron, Managing Director of GBU LEI AMEA, to Singapore and Malaysia. Frank and Pierre engaged in strategic exchanges during the visit with stakeholders from Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), JTC Corporation, ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, Pfizer, Sunway Group, and UAC Berhad. Site visits to projects such as Sunway CP2, Punggol Digital District, and Pfizer offered valuable insights into how ENGIE’s solutions are actively driving low-carbon progress in the region. A key highlight was the hybrid Ask Me Anything (AMA) session held in Malaysia, where Frank addressed questions from our local teams, with colleagues from across Southeast Asia joining virtually. It was an open, energising exchange that reinforced our shared direction and the role of our teams in delivering real impact. The visit underscored the rationale behind our transition from Energy Solutions to Local Energy Infrastructures — enabling us to align our expertise in solutions and infrastructure with a unified strategy and scale-integrated, impact-driven solutions across the region. The week was a strong reflection of our commitment to: 🔹 Accelerating the energy transition with local partners 🔹 Scaling integrated, low-carbon solutions for cities and industries 🔹 Supporting our clients’ net zero goals through innovation and collaboration Southeast Asia is a key priority region for ENGIE's global strategy, and we are proud of the strong foundation we have built through trusted partnerships, integrated solutions, and a focus on real impact. This visit marked an important moment to reflect on our progress and, more importantly, to strengthen the path ahead. We are committed to building on this momentum and accelerating efforts across the region in collaboration with our clients, partners, and communities. A big thank you to all our clients, partners, and ENGIE colleagues who made all these possible. We look forward to continuing this journey — together as One ENGIE. Harness the Power of the Sun for Your Business ☀️ With ample sunlight year-round across Southeast Asia, businesses in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines have a tremendous opportunity to tap into solar energy for long-term cost savings and sustainability. As energy costs fluctuate, solar provides a stable, long-term solution to manage expenses while reducing carbon footprint. Singapore is making strong progress, with 1.54GWp of solar deployed at the end of 2024, meeting the 2025 target earlier by 1 year. By 2030, at least 2GWp is expected to be installed—powering about 350,000 households and contributing 3% of the nation’s electricity demand. ENGIE is proud to be a solar vendor under JTC Corporation's SolarRoof program, contributing to its goal of achieving solar capacity of 350MWp by 2030. Through our expertise and commitment to expanding solar adoption, we are helping businesses tap into renewable energy and drive Singapore’s transition towards a more sustainable future. With privately leased industrial properties making up 72% of the total potential solar capacity, now is the time for businesses to turn unused rooftops into energy assets. 🔋 Find a solar model that works for you—whether it’s rooftop licensing or power purchase agreement, there’s an option to suit your business needs. Let’s make the most of solar energy! https://lnkd.in/gekKv4c5 #WithENGIE #Solar #SGGreenPlan

In Malaysia’s Budget 2025, the government announced plans to introduce a carbon tax for the iron, steel, and energy sectors by 2026. This initiative can be transformative for Malaysia’s carbon markets as it incentivises industries to reduce emissions while creating a foundation for a robust carbon trading ecosystem. Yin Kee Wong, Managing Director, ENGIE Services Malaysia, shares insights on how this policy could shape industries. He emphasises that now is the time for leaders to factor carbon pricing into their strategies to future-proof businesses against rising compliance and environmental demands. Highlighting #ENGIE’s partnership with UAC Berhad, he notes how modernising and decarbonising their utility infrastructure has successfully cut over 13,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually—a testament to what’s achievable with the right approach.
