This campaign is dedicated to breaking cycles and uplifting the lives of our beneficiaries for life. But we can’t do it alone – we need your support to turn our vision into reality! 🚀 Each year, we touch the lives of over 22,000 individuals, offering crucial support and assistance to those facing various challenges. While some of our programmes receive government funding, many of our preventive and developmental initiatives rely on fundraising efforts to remain sustainable. We’re excited to share that Care Corner’s Mindful Steps is now part of the 15M Social Challenge – the signature event under the 15M Social Movement by National Healthcare Group, which brings communities together through meaningful engagement! 👟 As part of our pledge, we’ll be rallying 70 senior residents every week for the next 3 months to join us on our Mindful Steps community walks in Toa Payoh – encouraging connection, mental wellness, and mindfulness. It’s Wellness Friday with Gardens by the Bay! We combined two things our seniors love – excursions and gardening – with a meaningful talk on mental wellness. 💚     At the community garden, our seniors had an amazing time learning about edible plants and even got hands-on with propagating red ginger plants! 🌱✨     On top of gardening, our Gerontological Counselling Unit team also gave an insightful talk, exploring with seniors how to embrace changes in their identities and roles as they age – whether it’s transitioning from work life, taking care of grandkids, or rediscovering new passions.     A huge thank you to Gardens by the Bay for hosting us at your expanded garden and letting our seniors have such a fun experience! 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 “𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿-𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱” – 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆? 👴👵     By 2030, 1 in 4 Singaporeans will be 65 or older. That’s why at Care Corner, we believe that having our seniors to age well in the community isn’t just important – it's essential.     We’re honoured to be part of OCBC’s OCBC SeniorCare Programme, a holistic initiative supporting seniors across four key pillars: Health, Wealth, Literacy, and Lifestyle. This programme was launched by Minister for Health, Mr Ong Ye Kung, on 29 March at Bukit Canberra.     With OCBC SeniorCare’s funding, our Gerontological Counselling Unit can now provide more free home-based counselling for underprivileged seniors – ensuring they have access to eldercare-trained counsellors to navigate their personal, social and psychological challenges.      We’re grateful to have OCBC as a like-minded partner championing our cause and for being a committed partner for the past 8 years.     #CareCornerSG #CareToEveryCorner #Seniors #Elderly

See the world through our youths’ lens! 📷 About 40 youths joined our Project Streetlights photography workshop, excited to learn the skills and in the process, discovered so much more!      Learning about our youths’ interest in capturing better photos of themselves, our youth workers designed this workshop to blend creativity with mental wellness and personal growth. We’re so amazed by all their creativity and fresh perspectives – and many even shared that they also learnt to appreciate and capture the little moments in life! ✨    At the end of the workshop, their photo submissions were also showcased at our photo exhibition at Changkat CC—a proud moment for both our youths and us! 😊     👉 Slide left to see a submission from one of our youths!     Beyond technical expertise, we hope this workshop will open doors to new opportunities, including potential career pathways in photography.    Want to make a difference? Our eldercare-trained counsellors help seniors address and navigate difficult transitions and stressful life events such as loneliness, coping with loss of loved ones and health.    It can be hard to talk about loneliness, but asking a heartfelt question shows you care. That’ssssss a wrap for Chinese New Year celebrations across our centres 🐍    From tossing lohei to engaging games, delightful lunches, high tea, and heartfelt performances by our seniors—every celebration was brimming with joy and laughter ❤️ What made it even more special? Some of these celebrations were thoughtfully planned by our very own senior volunteers!
